TribesNation and Tribesplayers

We now have 2 sites dedicated to uk tribes, with very good staffs on both, and this is good. However, if many of the articles are simply going to be copied from one to the other, its a waste of time. Just take a look at the reports of the IS vs DT game earlier tonight.

Heres just a few quotes:

TN: "IS followed this success with lots more frantic attacking; JP, Scum Person and Dodgy Bloke all getting a handful of caps."

TP: "but as DT began to commit people forward they got hit by a triple whammy of JP, Scum Person and Dodgy Bloke all capping at will."

TP: "DT suffered because they were getting the IS flag, Nighthawk and ViperSight being stand outs in their very promising offence, but alas the support was not there for the flag runner, and when he fell to the covering IS players, IS returned the flag to base."

TN: "At the other end of the field Nighthawk and ViperSight were taking the IS flag with similar frequency, but were unable to make the cap, getting caught by IS' flag chasers."

TP: "In the end the experience of IS told a terrible tale, DT were hammered in a game they were very competitive in."

TN: "Again it was the experience of a team who've played in the UKTL division 1 outshining a new tribe. The final score was an impressive 18 - 2 to IS."

Now i dont about you, but to me this seems pretty ridiculous - I dont know who copied who, or whether it was intentional or not, but either way this has to stop immediately. Friendly rivalry is one thing, cloning of one anothers stories is another.

Well I'm pretty sure mine was posted on TribesNation first, and they do appear to be very similar... I guess only the tp.co.uk news people know

Let us NOT start any argument of nonsense like this.

Look at this morning's newpaper headlines. There are what, 10 national daily's in this country? And at least half of those will be running the same headline story.

Tribesplayers and Tribesnation will both be posting a fair amount of stuff that could be construed as similar; this is simply unavoidable at the moment.

Look at the biggest four sites for Tribes; Tribesplayers.com, Planet-Tribes.com, PlanetStarseige.com and Datumplane.com...

Those four sites *All* feed off each other, this is how these things work.

Tribesplayers.co.uk staff will operate in exactly the same way as the Planet-Tribes.com staff operate; they will post relevant news and if it comes from another site, they will credit it.

Apart from anything else, its always good to have more than one site posting stuff on the UKTL / WPTL / ETL. Gives the whole thing more balance.

I drew from every source I could find, just like I did for all the other games and all the other reviews I did last night.

www.tribesplayers.co.uk is aimed at the whole eutropean tribes community, hence the european tribes league.

Finally how many ways can you report on the same game, if 3 lads played well, then we will say it, as when I herd that BR's defence was very good I went looking for legion and the lads for a chat. That is my style, credit where it is due and I make no apoligies for it

tp.co.uk and Tribesnation should develop into the best source for all things tribes related in Europe if they can. Most ppl will check both on a regular basis. The main point is that both sites will help to promote the game, the leagues and the community - so no need to duke it out lads.

Its good news all round - no matter who / how it is reported
