Tribes 2 not running

Can anybody help me.
I have just installed T2 and downloaded all the upgrades but when I try to launch it the screen blanks and my PC locks up.

Also, there were no shortcuts added (as per manual).

My system is a Hi-Grade Celeron 466
Hercules 3D Prophet 4000XT 32MB
128MB RAM.

I have disc space and memory aplenty.

nah i started off T2 on a cele 400, so its not that.

3D card may be pushing it,...

128MB should be enough, though ideal you should have 256. In the UK atm 256MB of ram is going for about £25 atm so best to get now. Assuming you Motherboard supports it.

tried gettin latest drivers for gfx card?

I'd have to say, it sounds like a driver problem to me. Make sure you have the appropriate Bus Mastering Drivers as well as trying different graphics drivers. Is your machine overclocked at all? Sometimes this sort of problem occurs with oc'd machines that are in need of a tiny bit more voltage.

Thanks for your help guys. I downloaded a few new drivers and adjusted my refresh rate from optimal to default and BINGO!

Now that is cool! Not only did he get the problem fixed, but he actually told us. You don't normally hear anything from people when they solve problems - always makes ya wonder what it was.
