i wasnt expecting them now, more wanting to know the time frame

I don't think they'd want to release a timeframe if they've still got boxes available in shops and they're still advertising for people to buy the game. If you've got friends asking about the game then point them to the cheapest deals instead of telling them to wait for a free trial.

Given the problems in offering free trial accounts with gold sellers abusing them, they might not be keen on having them added too quickly.

true, but there is a difference between a buddy code that comes with a comercial product and a free trial that comes with a pack of cornflakes or a magazine.
