HTC 8X - Brilliant, Windows 8 is so much better and user friendly than Android (IMHO), it just does what you want and it is bloody quick. So, its my favourite phone and OS so far.

Nexus 7 - Brilliant, I bought the wife one and it is very impressive, I did buy her an Amazon Fire HD but sent it back the next day, it is so restricted by Amazon and within an hour I was reading on how to root it, that isn't right.

So, for a phone it has to be a Windows 8 phone and for a tablet it has to be a Google one. I can imagine the Surface is pretty spiffy though.

I got on quite well with the Surfaces I tried (RT and full) however for outright freedom and raw performance the Nexus has it well covered. I'm trying to convince my boss to let me swap my iPad (3) for our nexus 7.

Love Surface RT, it is full of win. Office (if you use it as much as I do) just trumps everything!

Sucks balls about no sd card. They don't include it so you have to pay an extra 60-80 quid to have more memory (IMO) Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 has sd card support but it's not as good as the nexus.

they're forcing you in to the cloud. who would possibly want their own local storage anyway? that's soooo 2008

its ok if they give you 64 gb in the cloud but at least with apple they give you 5gb or something and then only 8gb per month download from EE in the uk it sucks ..

ATM it's 16 and 32. Go on the play.google store as that's the only place which sells it.
