Just watched it and I really did fucking enjoy it. Took me straight back to being a kid. One of the best movies I have seen in a long while, the fact that Megan fox is a dirty little bitch as well made it even better.

Discussed this on the other thread about it, and on general, but in short: Could've been better, many things that just...didn't work. Is ok, but could've been a lot better.
Shakycam, lips on formers, killing formers, to name a few :(

i loved it, as seel said shaky cam annoyed me but others enjoyed it with the shaky cam so you cant knock the movie for it, just difference in taste.

I think its nice that they added tranformers being killed, this was a bit more of a "grown up" version tbh than the original cartoon

However one thing did bug me
Why were the decepticons so much bigger and stronger than the autobots?,
i also was hoping for more optimus prime vs megatron

P.s the transforming into jets was omg!

Loved the film. Probably best of the year and definately one the best for the past through years. It one the first Cartoon/Comic to film conversions that I truelly enjoyed

On the transformers dying point. There is nothing new there. Optimus Prime dies in the original movie which is an even bigger character being killed of then in this new movie.

Yeah, they've died before but it's always been a BIG thing, in this movie they snuffed more bots then blondes in a teenage horror flic.

Also, where the hell were the lasers? Optimus prime weaponry was his armcannon and not even that made it. Only thing was megatron shooting his hybridwhatchamacallit and even that was ruined with the f*cking camera shake.

Though, changes are understandable, and it's a good movie, just think it should've been more loyal.

Actually i would've enjoyed the adaptation, as transformers are known to have multiple different storylines/universes.

Compare the modern japanese style transformers to the old.

But the camerawork, some over the top freedoms and such, ruined it.

MOSTLY the camerawork. You couldn't see sh*t.

Not seen this, not seen Die Hard, not seen The Simpsons... Yay @ Skintness..

Plus side of this, is that it's made me write up my cover letter for my CV :)

I think it was 'ok' I'll certainly be buying it on DVD anyway :p I think they spoilt it with the super fast paced fighting however.. you couldn't see a fucking thing of what was going on half the time.

Regardless of if it was part of the old tv program/comic/whatever. I hated the "The humans are good, they have the heart to learn and be great and omg i sound like some patriotic american" speech's by Optimus Prime.

I was told something about Autobots trying to explain this to Deceptacons in the cartoon/cartoon movie (regarding why they stick up for us) but it was so cheesey+sickening to hear.

One thing I was glad about, they kept some form of the "one shall stand, one shall fall" conversation form the cartoon movie. One the most memorable speeches that :)

it was like that in the original cartoons, they actually kept it to a minimum in the new movie with the last thing at the end

Yeah true, quite a little of Primes "I shall do this and me me me and greatest sacrificer of myself ever!"

That speach he did on the movie, well, that might have made the cerial commercial when the old stuff was around :D

I enjoyed it, although the constant shaky cam was a bit annoying. :(
