frankie, this isn't a flame at all, so don't take it as one...
N'Sync, The Backdoor Boys, and Brittney Spears are all immensely popular, but they're all garbage. We all know this. To someone like myself, who has been listening to electronic dance music since '81 or so, Trance is considered crap. That's not to say that all of it is, I'll give it another chance, but generally speaking it seems to lack artistic content. Kinda like comparing The Roots or Common Sense to Master P and Puff Daddy. The former are about creativity and innovation, the latter make cookie-cutter, talentless songs. From what I understand, there's a lot more bad Trance than there is good.
Judge Jules is pretty popular from what I understand, but does he make more than Juan Atkins or Derrick May? I can't say anything though... I'm still getting only $200-500 US for a gig.
