Trade Skill Reset

In order to "wipe" your trade skills so that your character can learn Spellcraft/Alchemy if they already belong to another trade Order, we've put in a special quest in each Realm that will guide your character through the process. Please note that you can only go on this quest ONCE, and you can only do it to switch from whatever tradeskill you currently know to Spellcraft or Alchemy - NOT to any other tradeskill.


so.. only once and only from old to new... but is there any reason I cant change from alchemy that I now find extreemly boring to something like armorcrafting? or weapon to armor or what ever. This actually made me realy pissed and I sent 3 mails to diffrent addresses just complaning. calmed down a bit now. any way so here I am stuck to a trade skill forever that I realy h8 and find useless. great! way to go! and how did Mythic expect me to know how alchemy would be?! so I should have known from the begining that it sux(imo)?! I can only say IDIOTS to Mythic and thier small brains.

Did

you ask around other crafters to see what they thought, read up on both the official and unoffical websites about alchemy and how it worked and then decided that it would be a good trade skill to specialise in?
If you answer no to any of the above then how the hell is it anyone else's fault you now don't like it?

The trade respec was put in for those crafters who chose weapons, armour, fletching or tailoring to skill in before alchemy and spellcrafting were in the game.
Allowing someone to change from a new trade to an old one pretty much defeats the object of why the respec was introduced in the first place: to allow existing crafters to move to a new skill and LOSE all the hard work they had put into that original skill if they felt they'd prefer alchemy or spellcrafting.

It's pretty hard to justify why you should get a trade respec, after all, how is sitting and clicking the glove icon in armour crafting gonna be less boring than making anything in alchemy?

someone wanting to get his tradeskill wiped should be able to get it. i want to get my SC on my shammy wiped also ... maybe i should send rightnow

Can't really see this happening to be honest, as already said the trade respec quest is only for people that already had an existing trade and wanted to switch to SC/Alch, if you don't like it you can always role an alt (plenty of slots to do that now) and do your prefered skill on that.

But really, no way in hell GOA are gonna give you a trade respec based on the fact that you 'don't like' the trade.
