Tourney Problem

I just started up Tourney and there is no Menu Bar at the top, I have tried pressing ESC but I just get Unreal Tournament with a black background (You know the one I mean)

If I press ESC again I am returned to the first screen (Unreal Tournament with a greay background), but still NO MENU BAR?!


Any ideas?

can it be that the bar is there, just not visible :
try resizing your screen with your monitor controls dude.

hmm a long time ago, when dinosaurs ruled the earth, I used to help out in #uthelp [the irc server shall remain blissfully nameless ] and we used to get stuff like that when someones d3d was fuxored.
So, does it do that both in D3D and* OpenGL or just one of the two?

there's an alternate D3D thingy you can get from here
stick in in your UT system folder [make a backup first heh]

Thanks for all of your help, I looked up my graphics card on the internet and apparently there is a registry hack you have to do to make it run properly in Windows 2000

So I reinstalled the game and did the registry hack, after this it worked fine
