Tournament maybe??

I am thinking of trying to do a tri-realm tournament. Similar to what the hibbies have done however this would be open to all classes of all three realms. There would be a tank tournament, a caster tournament, and a stealther tournament and also a best of the best tournament. I dont mind doing all the the organising, the contacting mythic etc but i do need feed back to know what you all think. Also before you all ask yes realm abilites would be used. I am thinking of doing this because i would really like to know who is the best of each class and also the best of the best. We would also insist on before combat commencing that both players relog so there are no super buffbotted characters. So the fights are as fair as possible.

Well, if it gets GOA support they might set up some area in like, hadrians wall in some obscure corner where noone can hit any enemies and then enable the /duel command?

dont know if its possible but would be very fun to do and id sign up in a heartbeat

So no buffbots but active RA's are allowed? So basically we're looking at 2 mages purging and putting MoC on and hoping they nuke harder then their enemies... yay, great fun....

I won't bring my caster, sorry.... Not my idea of pushing in 3 nukes and wait 30 minutes till purge and MoC are up on the enemy.

Whats up you cant win a fair fight so you need to flame someone who comes up with a good idea for the enjoyment of the people that play the game. Oh and by the way casters win because they have the ability to think on there feet not because they have buff bots chained to there ass. Oh...and btw...players dont necessarily have to relog. Just group with them right before the duel and see, if they are buffed. (well...thats the way Deygos did it during the Hibtournament)

im up for that.. and as a caster if someone does MoC and start PBAE move out they way you cant cast on the move??? and next fight they wont have moc mbe no ;P its down to 1v1 abilitys i love the idea use ya class to the max but watch people flame pallys for engaging and healing haha mind you that wont help vs a zerker hmmm ;P . but you wanna be the best you have to beat the best and what they do....

I have contact GOA and MYTHIC today and i am waiting for the responce which i will put in a link here to our guilds website i am hoping after this we dont get a zone crash or some big rvr guild dont see this as an oppertunity to rape alot of people who have turned up for this tournament. I would like to prove all the whinging albions thats claim every other realm is over powered everytime they get killed in rvr fights. It would also go a long way to prove that the realms are balanced. What would also be good is to show that we do play this game for fun and we can have fun with our enemies as well as killing them and getting killed by them.
If people in real life can stop a war to play a game of football then just think of the possibilities. Hope to add to this upon reply from GOA or Mythic.

relics are easy to sort out make sure your realm captures em all before the comp goes ahead.. they kind like RR Tankster at RR10 has more to aid her that say a zerker at RR1 with 3 stg relics mbe?

Unless GOA approves this and wipes all RP bonuses for this 'event' I for one don't hope it will come through... Event like this is perfectly possible on Camlann, so do it there, it is not really for Excalibur.
Also, it seems a lot like a 'daox tournament/irc' tournament, which still isn't a 'legal' way to play the game, no matter how many people use it.

It have happened sometimes in Odins too,some nice (yes,nice ) hibs vs some albs, 1vs1 duels which no-one else interrups and others just stand and watch,if some random minstrel/ns/infi comes they usually unstealthed and joined the fun
Usually these lil events have been ended by a fg of mids

Ehm.... Who is flaming and name calling? I said if GOA agrees, there is nothing really wrong with the event, and you were even trying to get their approval, weren't you? Someone might have the 'broad shoulders and good I.Q.' with organizational skills to go through with this kind of event, however, that person is not a Robbie Williams Groupie called Magebane, you proved that much.

Magebane, if you don't learn to take criticism some time soon, your going to have no people at all to help you with this event because you will have told them all to p**s off.

So heres a tip. If someone says something that you dont agree with in relation to your idea , think of a constructive argument and express your opinion. Slagging the person off and bragging about how big you think your ego is, is not the right thing to do.
