Help Toric lenses, dailies.

Have very recently started using lenses, monovision, so one is toric. Have had three or four, of the toric ones, split in half in my eye, moments after putting them in. Very painful and difficult to retrieve the smaller bit. Almost got an infection.

Has anyone else had this problem? The suppliers thought I was talking rot. I've used about 3 months worth so on average it doesn't happen very often. Don't think I'm doing anything wrong as I don't have the problem with the distance lens.

Don't have lenses so can't comment on that but I've never heard of it before either. Perhaps you've just accidentally received a bad batch?

I've had lenses for about 12 years, and what you've described has happened to me 3 times in that whole 12 year stretch. Sounds like you really have received a bad batch. And its pretty annoying trying to get that torn half out your eye.

Just make sure you wash and dry your hands before you start poking hehe =)

either your handling them wrong or the lenses are bad

Meggey can't wear contacts because shes a dumb blonde who can't put them in right (really)

Me on the other hand, i have 20/20 vision!

What's odd is the toric ones are much thicker and more rigid than the ordinary ones so you'd think it would happen to the others.
