Not sure if this breaks the COC or whatever (if so, sorry Tony), but if any kind soul out there has ftp space, could they record the first of the new series of Top Gear for me? (Jan 28th). I've paid my licence fee so I'm entitled (sort of, maybe, possibly-ish). Now I'm in NZ, internet access is a bit of a joke, so other means of getting it aren't really practical (I've been trying to get ep 11 of BSG for about a month and only have 20% of it!) Once again, sorry if this incurs the wrath of the mods.

Thanks, but like I said, torrents don't really work. I'm travelling around, staying in hostels and internet access is really slow and costs a packet, so I need somewhere where I can get it as one d/l and relatively quickly.

think i read in top gear mag a while back that the series thats gonna air soon, will have eps viable off its weeby similar to the apprentice did last year. 24hrs after its been on telly you should be abel to watch it from the site.

tbh serves you right for buggering off to the other side of the planet:twak:

If someone can get the file for me I can host it for you.

On a side note - they normally allow you to watch the latest episode of a bbc show on ze website the day after it's been aired.

I think www.bbc.co.uk/topgear will stream it once it's been shown. I know they did that with never mind the buzzcocks and later with jools holland

Yes but why would he watch a lower quality streamed version when he could have a decent rip :p

I'm not sure if it would let you watch the BBC site in NZ would it?

Why not? Unless you're talking some ghey IP based filter, in which case just find an open proxy to use for that purpose (not that i've done things like that with rapidshare). :m00:

I dunno, I thought there might be a rights issue. Like when you're listening to R5Live and they stop the broadcast for the European Cup.

BBC dont generally let you watch non-news content from anywhere not in the British license paying IP space. Ask draylor, hes always moaning about the footy not being available off the beeb in ireland, and thats only just accross the pond!
