I'll think about my score, I have to consider whether those I fell asleep watching (like The Truman Show and Gattica) count as "seen".

tbh I've not heard of half of those, and only seen 10/15.
But then I don't do movies, not even subscribed to the movie channels.
I'm now wodering to myself why I even bothered posting :)

I've seen a lot of them and some of the ones that you haven't seen like Fahrenheit 451, strange film ;)

I've actually heard of F. 451, because it's used as a code for keypads in many of Looking Glasses old games - SS2 being a prime example.

Yep, I've seen 451, and THX 1138 too.

Strange list, "Thing from another world" and "The Thing" are the same film really.

Methinks the term "Science Fiction" has been stretched a little too far on that list ... Rocky Horror ? Ghostbusters ?

On the Beach is the most dreary pile of bollocks, and most of the films on that list are far better in book form.

Trivia corner: THX 1138 was George Lucas' first film, the identification was his phone number, it appears as a number plate in American Graffitti, Chewbacca was being transferred from "cell 1138" and THX is the sound system he developed.

They aren't all SF. Dr Strangelove isnt or Frankenstein really.

There's cartoons, and then there's Animé.

Slight difference in quality & general tone and subject matter.

Not forgetting the drastic drop in frames per second either.
