was nice to see an open one for a change, we didnt get the relics but was a seriously good way to show anothr realm how to lose their entire frontier

thanks to those who organised it, tbh it got a lot further than a lot of raids we've had recently, was nice to see it done all out in the open for once, i imagine you were testing to see what the reaction would be from the other realms (ie, the effect possible spies would have), and tbh the fact that there weren't 15fg's of mids at hmg bang on 9pm shows something i think

anyway, was a fun night i thought, thanks to whoever's idea it was, and to those who ran it

Charonel, I dont think you have to worry to much about the middie spy accounts, but the alb ones certainly are worrying. Prior to your arrival we had a lot of albs hanging around in our frontier, hiding in pockets near keeps, etc. Its a real shame to see people using spy accounts, especially as it is something that Mythic/GOA have tried to avoid.

The fact that Alpha was in Yggdra is proof enough (like I need it tho, common sense works just aswell to prove that) that they use spy accounts.

atm the relics are well defended, so maby we should make some keep raiding (large scale) like we do when we r relic hunting ?. what im thinking here is instead of doing a relic raid we just go for all keeps and maby defend them, so the mids will think relic raid etc like we go for keeps only 2 times, and then 3'rd time we go for relic also ? atleast we will open DF for or realm this way, and mids will sit in there relic keep waiting for no attack and when they get bored and start roaming to retake keeps = HIB's will RP pharm, as all keeps is more or less defended by ex. guild groups assigned for that keep )

well was just an idear, and i aint no organiser - so this was just my little brain-strom for the organisers of hib btw this should start abit earlier than RR so i can get with the fun

And for your info, it was the albs who invented the dawn raid, back in the days when the guards were a lot easier. Now due to the overwhelming amount of albs, and the uber auto spawning guards make it virtually impossible to do peak time.

And we really dont need spies in hib, your zerging technique gives away the game as soon as you leave your TK.

And I have never seen any middie spies, not have I gotten any insiderinfo of the albs, or seen any alb-info in our /as.

Was kinda obvious to us albs u were relic raiding.
After you gained access to df there was a lack of incoming hib messages and death spams. We had reports of lack of hibs in emain and the odins crowd reported lots of hibs.

Hmm yeah maybe there are spys, but there were also enough clues to what you were doing.

And as to the amount of albs in odins?

Well we would rather let the middies keep them than let you hibbes have them all again (winces in pain).

This includes characters on different accounts. Whether the people in midgard with spies had them logged in whilst you were planning your relic raid or not there are spies in all three realms. It's incredibly lame and incredibly sad. And that's agreed by most decent people no matter what realm.

If there's even the slightest hint at people getting info from spies in the various RvR chatgroups I've been in there is uproar from a large number of people.

Of course there are ways of finding out a relic raid is happening other than spying, but spying will always be blamed no matter what the case.

Whether that was the case last night or not I have no idea...

personally my oppinion is that regardless of spies or not, there's no way to have even a "good" chance of moving a relic army through an enemy frontier without either them or the other realm knowing, point is that you WILL get spotted by someone at some point, the lag alone would alert them even if they couldnt see you directly.

with that in mind you may as well just do it openly and end up with an absolutely enormous force, because since you'll get seen anyway, there's nothing to gain by trading your firepower (ie the extra dozens of players you'd get by being open about it) for secerecy, since there is none.

afterall, even when albs have just gone straight to dagda and ignored the keeps, how many times can you remember them doing that WITHOUT us allready knowing about it and heading to collory to defend? they've been faster than us before, but we've still spotted them for sure.

only place seceracy could be usefull is the alb power relic keep, since hadrians is usually empty and the route to myrradin is the same, no albs in snowdonia usually either, so you actually stand a chance of getting through without them knowing, anywhere else though and it's futile.

Was a great raid, many thanks to Armolas for leading it, was nice to do an old fashioned zerg raid

Actually the lag didn't get bad till we went for the relic, someone joked that there was 4fg of grey mids inside the keep, just to lag us up

Hope the mids are having a whip round to upgrade those doors we bashed, bleed ya dry we will!

You under estimate the alb ability to whine look how much whine your FAILED attempt on the albs generated. Now multiply that by 100 factoring whines such as oh two over powered realms ganging up/we werent ready cause we were busy farming emain with our non zerg of only 50 ppl/you must have 100 spies to know we all camped amg for hours/you so lame/and we are so gimped etc etc (basically every excuse under the sun) ad infinitum ^^.
