Just to expand.

Frontal view. This nail was removed 3 times :

Sidish view - see the scars

1. First time they just ripped the nail out, thinking it would grow back normally (it didnt hence operation #2)

2. Ripped out the nail and cut out part of the nail bed on each side. I think they used a chain saw instead of a scalpel (as you can see from the scars). Tied it up with 6 stitches - looked like a side of beef.
Ended up the nail grow in at an angle cos they damaged the nail bed (nail was as thick as fook). Hence operation #3

3. "Eased" the nail off and then burnt out the nail bed with acid. Everything went great. Back to work in 2 days.

Everything is fine now - apart from when you are climbing concrete steps with open toed sandals - OUCH !!!

Heres me other Toe.

This was only done twice :

once just ripped the nail out, the second removing part of the nailbed.

Did a better job of this one - this is what the other SHOULD have looked like.
