Hey,

Well decided to return to DAOC, so bought catacombs off play.com, read on the camelot europe page that you can buy the TAO license off the website, so I didnt bother ordering that off play. I've now got catacombs installed, and the TOA option is greyed out, activated my account still greyed out!

Is this thing even working?, I did a ticket on rightnow a few days ago, still no reply, so I guess the support hasnt got any better still.

I'm guessing you'll need to start the game with the SI client in order to be able to purchase the ToA license online. If you try starting the game with the Catacombs client, the program will probably automatically assume you must already have ToA activated.

Having said that, I just tried to purchase a ToA license for an SI account & it doesn't seem to have worked, even though it wasn't greyed out. No idea yet if it debited my credit card, but it won't let me start the game using the ToA client =/

About your support problem, i'll assume you sent the RN under the "technical" which gets sent the people who know all about inside PC's and nothing about daoc.
If you send it under life under your server you'll probably get a reply the same day assuming its not a weekend.

I think it says on the catacomb box that you need SI and TOA installed before installing Catacombs, so that might be your problem...

And once you get your hands on a TOA copy and install that AFTER you have installed Catacombs, it might still be flawed as you might overwrite some newer files by installing an older version on a newer version... Which is a pretty classic mistake, really

the licenses are bought from the subscription pages so the version of the game you have installed shouldn't matter.

There should be an option to purchase the TOA activation online - RightNow it if it's not working (but use something like "Life on your server" to get a GM response ;) though given it's a billing issue they might not be able to help - but probably able to chivvy someone along)

They don't work weekends but you may get an answer today if you submit it.

All versions of daoc install to their own directory - you only ever need the one client (if you have catacombs and a catacombs activated account you don't need toa/si/classic)

so i can now delete my TOA instalation ?

So now i have the DoAC/SI/TOA box set and the catacombs box, i can more or less throw away my TOA box set ???? or do i still need to keep the old CD key (DaOC/SI/TOA) ?

for a fresh instalation i woudlnt need the old trio ? just to install cata ??

I've just asked our accounts lady who tells me there's a problem with the online licences. Some people can get them with no problem others can't. We do have people working to fix it though and we should have more info later this week.

SSGamblor: Yes you need ToA activated to be able to activate Catacombs.

Kalidur: No you don't need the other installs. Depending on your PC, you may find that the ToA client gives better performance in large raids and RvR so you may want to keep a ToA install. I'd also recommend keeping your CDkeys in a safe place as they are the best proof of account ownership should you have any problems. There's no reason to keep the disks and the rest of the packaging though as you can download the ToA and SI clients from the Goa site. If you need a fresh install, you can install any version by itself and it will work as a stand alone client.

Tried it again.
This time it accepted my credit card payment!
But I still can't seem to log in with the ToA client :(
I still get the "you are trying to blablabla with an expansion which you have not activated" message.
Roughly how long is it supposed to take before I can log into ToA on the account in question?
