"ToA greed" - it doesn't affect everyone

What with all the "I was camping this artifact for 5 hours, and xx comes along and steals it" type threads around, I thought I'd share with you all something that just happened to me which shows there are still some good souls in Albion.

I logged on this morning, and thought I'd check out the Belt of the Moon encounter, not really expecting to find it up or uncamped. Surprisingly, it was both. So, I start pulling the protectors, again expecting someone to come along and steal it from me.
With about half of the protectors killed, I'm starting to feel more positive, and thinking that I can do it, when Greedy, a minstrel from PrimEvil shows up. We say hi, he askes about Belt of the Sun, I reply and carry on pulling. Greedy then asks me for a group invite for powersong; I invite him to group, and we start killing the other protectors. The last protector dies, and I get the key.

With the attitude of most people in ToA, what happened next was a pleasant surprise. Greedy used SoS to draw the aggro from the hesperis in order for me to grab the belt. He unfortunately died in the process, but I did manage to get the belt and complete the encounter.


To close, I'd like to say a big thank you to Greedy for helping me (a complete stranger) without asking anything in return. If you need help with something, and I'm online, let me know.

funny that, i went to belt of sun this morning, saw a wizzy, lezard, pulling , rest of island seemd quite empty. im just about to bugger off, when a mincer comes running up the hill. pull the last protector, get the key and runs off, ignoring most of my, 'sad' pm's... name : Greedy

he did pm me once, said he was there ages, we both know it was BS.
