I'm almost rdy for fulltime RvR. Only 2 more artifacts to XP, then Im done with PvE/ToA. What about you? Lets see how long before we can expect maximum numbers of ppl RvRing.

Comment: still got ml8/9/10 to do and exp my cloak but i am happy to have taken my time, enjoyed most of it, though ml3 sucked i think that was a low point, was in there 3 times to get it done, total around 15 hours. now its pretty much over i am glad they released it :)

should also note how much you have spent on your temp, around 50 plat for me give or take, this includes things i bought that i thought i could use but didnt make it to final temp

other than ml3 (first time through was evil - recently ran a raid and it was a bit better though, tis much improved as is 2.10) and trying to level these goddamned evil alvarus leggings it's all good fun :)

Comment:- there's niggles but it really brought a lot to the game, it also killed HW casual RvR but that only existed because there was nothing better to do.

Comment: The ML's were the only fun thing about toa, the background story about toa is non existant and complete shite. Other than that it was different to SI, hope catacombs is better, but from sounds i assume we're gonna be mob bashing to get gems for Jewel crafting...ffs

Comment:well everything aint about RvR so i guess it aint that bad, but yes its alot of PvE to get and lvl the artis and get MLs, but a easy game is no fun.

Oh and i cant play my nightshade, chanter, hero or try a new class in rvsr anytime soon couse they are gimped without the odd 1month+ PvE thanks to teh Trials of Atlantis, lol fuck it.

ToA gives DAoC another string to its bow, PvE used to be means to and end, now it offers the gamer a completely different experience. I believe the ML's are in most cases well designed and fun to do.

Only downside is the way this game has changed alot of players, the kill stealing\camping of artifacts etc is my main gripe.

To just elaborate on that a little...

ToA basically took a game where, if you were prepared to spend some time learning the strengths and weaknesses of your class, and didn't gimp yourself too heavily, you could compete in RvR to one where you need to expend millions of hours in PvE gathering up the latest and greatest artifacts. It's shifted the game into one that's about collecting ubber itamzz rather than learning what your class can do and playing to its strengths. That means that its increased greatly the gap between players who can and will commit 6 hours a day or more to the game and more casual players - not because they are more experienced or skillful, but simply because they farm more items and MLs.

And the great insanity is that, in order to compensate for this, Mythic is giving us NF - which makes the game much more fun for players who run in larger groups, but reduces the potential for fun in smaller, 1-2fg combat. Basically, I see NF as an attempt to fix the mess that is post-ToA RvR, making RvR accessible once again to casual gamers. But of course, it would have been better had Mythic not made the mess in the first place.

Givf croc mode! Hopefully farming this week, almost done on TOA, hardly spent any time on it, just lots of money :p

Agree, Totally outragerous off mythic to force such expansion upon players that affect the rvr part of the game so much. They should be ashamed, my master card details have just been changed and im not even sure im gona change my supscription to my new card.
The Toa idea is generally ok, but Require way too much for a gamer.
Mythic has truely failed to adress the majority with this expansion, and only focused on what the hardcore player may achive.

Comment: For me, ToA put life back in the game. I absaloutely loved being in a group situation again, and for a while, there was no RvR, everyone was happy and cooperative, just like the good old days. All was at peace.
When I did get back to RvR, I was one of the first with a finished ToA template, and I left a flaming track of roxxored boxxors. Even now, ToA has made me pratically invincable in a solo fight. I would have quit if not for ToA.
Due to it being school holidays during ToA, and me not having a precisely blooming social life at the time, I had plenty of oppotunity to get things done. I actually left my toon afk on ML2 and went down the pub, came back, and it was complete. :D

Creates so much imbalance in RvR (although it wasn't supposed to have an impact) to people that don't have ToA/chance to do ML's. English peeps need to invent a new word for waiting, it just ain't sufficient enough and solo/duo is just plain and simple dead.

Makes me think about quitting tbh.

I do think Mytic know's by now that TOA has been a totally disaster for the rvr part of the game, but the dmg is done and as i see it, it cant be undone. Mythic destroyed the best mmog game ever created so far, it was great while it lasted, but is slowely drowning in TOA.
