Common speculation says INT will be 70.

Stats something like....

STR 75
CON 75
DEX 40
QUI 40
INT 70

or

STR 90
CON 60
DEX 40
QUI 40
INT 70

or even maybe

STR 80
CON 60
DEX 60
QUI 30
INT 70

Take your pick, but Mythic have said the H/O will be strong, have above average INT, and be slow.

Does anyone know the stats of the new races at all? Specifically the Shar :)

As regards Shar stats all we have is this...

So think Dwarf (alb doesn't have a high constitution class either - so I guess Dwarves are the only applicable comparison).

The class/races above were Just a random post on the VN ToA board. They are based on alledged current output from /who on pendragon.

As mentioned above, it is subject to change.

/em directs stare at Shar Nightshades.

find it funny that the the Shar atm only are able to become a champ, according to Ramas, of the Guardian classes but "are Hibernia's first real high constitution class". Unlike Dwarf and Highlander in mid/alb who can be all the Viking/Fighter(cept reaver) classes.

but yes, funny, if the shar has 60 or higher str and they will be allowed to be NSs since appearently Celts was to powerfull ;)

NOOOOO! How can the Church allow their most holy of holy warriors (Paladin) to be a f**king ogre?! They wouldn't!! They would burn the feckers at the stake the moment they left the womb if they got the chance.

I'm fast losing respect for Mythic and their choices.

Well it fits the storyline - Ogres are suppsoed to be 'good'. Thrawn ogres are only pissed at us for not pulling our weight vs Morgana, or are part of a magic cult.

That said, Alb is supposed to be the human realm and should have stuck to it imo.

At least we didn't get more fishmidgets.

Nice combo..

Half orge half avalonian..

And i think mythic would of gone lost on ideas with the stats for more human races for Albion.

Half-Orge looks great imo.

Given Mythic have come right out and said the Shar are a high con race, I'd say it's pretty likely they'll have at least 70.

NSs won't necessarily be overpowered if dex is low.

Maybe...

STR 60
CON 80
DEX 50
QUI 50
INT 60

or even...

STR 70
CON 80
DEX 40
QUI 50
INT 60

It really all depends on how the stats other than CON are arranged.

High dex I suspect....

STR 50
CON 50
DEX 70
QUI 60
PIE 70

imo.

Beta players are now dropping unsubtle hints that H/Os cannot be Reavers after all, officially for the same storyline reasons that they can't be Necromancers; unofficially because if they could be all the fighters or any of the casters the other realms would complain that their races have a more limited selection of classes.

All the other fighters and casters have now been seen in screenshots though, so barring further changes of mind, it seems H/Os can be any fighter or caster except necros and reavers.

i cant see the shar having that low dex if they are capable of being hib casters.

i imagine shar will have almost the same stats as inconnu

Hib class eligibility is largely based on backstory nonsense rather than logic. Basically all races are classed as either peppermint flavour, or strawberry flavour. Flavour is dictated by typical hibernian backstory crap about fluffy clouds and pretty flowers, not stats.

Only Peppermint flavour hibs can be Magicians or Stalkers.

Wheras strawberry flavour hibs get to be Naturalists and Foresters.

Guardian classes are dished out completely at random.

Peppermint races are Elf, Lurikeen, and now it seems, Shar.

Strawberry flavour hibs are Sylvan, Celts, and Firbolgs.

There seems to be some leeway granted for Celts, who can be Mentalists or Rangers as well as traditional strawberry classes.

There are certain hib posters on various forums who get very excercised about any suggestion that a race which is clearly peppermint flavoured might not have the appropriate class options. I suspect that is why the Shar have the theoretical option to play as casters.

If only Albion players had been as vocal in warning Mythic off of flooding the realm with fishmidgets and mudmen. Ho Hum :(

It's right though, if you take away the odd exceptions (celt rangers, champions and ments, elf blademasters and lurikeen heros) the races seem to be split as 'veil visitors', namely elves, lurikeen and now it seems shar, and 'lesser folk', namely celts, firbolgs and sylvan. The 'lesser folk' cant be magicians, the 'veil visitors' cant be naturalists or pure tanks.

It's a nonsense really, and looks like it's staying the same with shar :(
