Pin i seem to remember a fight at amg odins that happened a few weeks ago.

After a big mid vs alb fight at amg all of the mids got wiped and loads of albs died as well - you being one of them. I was still alive at this point ontop of amg hiding. Since, there was still albs alive you waited to get a rez, after 5 mins you got one. After sitting down for 5 mins to get back hps/endurance back all of the albs (apart from yourself) left amg to go deeper into odins. At this point you ran all the way back to alb tk to get rebuffed (i wasnt positioned right to kill you at the time). Another 5 minutes passed while i was waiting at amg and a lone merc turns up - i try to kill him, the fight goes on for a while. Next thing i see is a buffed pin run through amg doors and proceed to gank me 2 vs 1 with this mercs help.

I, on the other hand, am prepared to fight any time, buffed or unbuffed, which is more than can be said for 99% of infils.

Okay, got me there. And yes, you did show yourself up as playing very badly indeed that time.

The merc in question told me you were there and to come hunt for you as you didn't seem to want to fight him. Then when I got there you were attempting to run from him while being hammered from behind. He didn't need me in the end, but I sprinted up with a snare on my blade to assist.


Besides, it is sad but true that the days where you can hunt effectively (in most places) while unbuffed are lost somewhere in the mists of time. It's a shame, but most of the time it's pointless leaving the pk if unbuffed and if there are buffs available I, just like any other sane person, will happily take them.


(Still, I'll still fight buffed or unbuffed, and I'll pick fights where I'm outgunned just to have fun. Anyway, I might come find you in a couple of weeks when I go back to RvR, but for the moment I'm having a lot more fun playing PvE with my guild).

I was not playing badly, but sensibly when you are unbuffed. I was probably trying to kite the merc with a snare poison, since its not a good idea to fight toe to toe with a merc unbuffed. Unfortunately on this occasion it probably didnt stick or he purged.

Yes it is ashame that it is pointless to fight unbuffed these days, hence why i have little respect for most of the high realm rank infils (yog, sst, remi etc), because they are buff bot emain whores who do little else and cant fight fair. I still have respect for Pin (although more in the past when he was less buff botted) and Nicolas, imo 2 of the few old school infils who didnt just rely on their bot.

Anyway, I might come find you in a couple of weeks when I go back to RvR

Anyways, in the old days (RR2-6), I relied on Mazsola (my speed and mezz bot ) and we were _never_ buffed on our runs to Uppland. Those were my most enjoyable DAoC times, and I'd rather be back playing in 1.48 (pre RAs), playing cat and mouse with CE around Midgard.



Got a nice unique Belt drop last nigt though. Was actually usable and better than the SI quested ones too

And a nice glowy rapier that I used for a while before salvaging.... Aaaah, there is enjoyment to be had in this game outside of RvR

SBs have this RA "Summon Shadowzerg" Its on a 1 minute timer and Summons all SBs in the same zone to assist them whenever they run into an equally buffed infil.

Hopefully we can close this conversation now, I think all necessary things has been said = both realms hate stealthzerg, but both zergs from time to time.

Still, nothing gives more exciment to being assassin than those 1 vs 1 duels where you can only trust yourself, when there's no1 to back you up.

salamourhaaja so you have see hidden and purge? lol no wonder sbs grp so much now. They should have some backups when their purge is down cause of the low passives. How can you fight even with relics a guy who has dodger 2++ and mop 4-5? as most of us do

anyway.. what i ve noticed now is that with purge down we can kill even being unbuffed, a buffed sb.

i d rather you kept the str relics guys you need them more than we do

True sight is on a 30 min timer. See hidden is active all the time and no archers cares to go hide in the bush miles away and w8 10 minutes.

It's not often SB's are solo . Venomis is one, this Salmur guy as well.

Usual situation is. Get attacked by SB, he takes down max 30-40% hp b4 I get slam in. Slam done. 1-2 sb pops up and ganks you.

Excal has more SBs then Warriors, Thanes, Berserker. Get used to it.

I am used to SB's aussie. But since SI they've started grouping MORE. Prob scared. Even with buffs they don't dare to face a solo unbuffed scout (with some exceptions).
