To many hardware changes? Need to reactivate.

Got a popup from Windows that I've made numerous hardware changes (got the msg after setting up a wireless interet connection) but when I enter the serial key i have on the sticker stuck to my case (yes i do own windows ) it says I've used it to often (from when I reinstalled windows, etc I guess)

Do I have to buy windows again? That really sucks if so. I've tried some illegal keys off dodgy sites but none of them worked.

Anyone got any ideas?

easy peasy. you should have seen a phone number. call it, and some microsoft flunky will talk to you and give you a code. inter this code into your doze and all will be well.

I got the same after adding a gfx card, extra disk and some ram.

mine may have been too tbh. there was a...pause...between...her...words that led me to believe she was either reading them off a screen one by one or was indeed a robot
