Great fight at beno Y-roads yesterday, tho you might wanna kill the bot first next time.

What happned was a minstrel pops and mezzes me and my bot as i was running to beno to park there..

I waited, waited and waited...

Then I get PAed by a infil, fight starts ect..

both minstrel and infil fights me while leaving my bot mezzed..

Thanks for a good fight and letting my bot ding rr2

Grivne took out 2, with his group of 2 (both played by him) his bot was active and killable.

So the fact he killed 2 while playing 2 characters himself does show considerable skill.

Nope. He brought the buffbot with him, so gave chance his enemies to kill it. It's kinda different as if he let the bb at Svasud.

LOL to me 2 peopel attacking a lone player with bot on stick , and not killing him is = less skills or atleast crappy tactics.....especaily when they have mezz+stun

He brought the buffbot with him. He's still a buffwhore, but those two albs are stupid for not taking out the bot.

2vs1 is never a fair fight, and if one is mezzed and cant do anything then it is a 2vs1...

now days as a thane, if you aint in a rvr guild, you dont get groups to harvest/farm/whatever get your RPs, so you are close to forced to solo or group with other thanes (Zaksoth = )..

and i like to solo, and since the increase (as i see it) of stealth zergs (5 - 12ppl) in HW and odins i feel i need to use my bot, if i could i wouldnt use him couse its no fun beeing buffed and win vs a unbuffed (or 2 in this case)..

Kind of a silly discussion really. Grivne has and uses a buffbot, so Addlcove's point is perfectly valid. Just because this ONE particular time the bot was killable (as he was going to log both in Beno) doesn't change the fact that as a rule, he uses him in the standard, untouchable way.
The point of the bb being mezzed and not being able to fight is trivial as well, as bb's never fight, they BUFF. Did the buffs suddenly go 'poof' when bot was mezzed? Yeah.
As to the Alb's tactic of attacking Grivne first: Unless the bot is named I'mGrivne'sBuffBot or somesuch, then attacking the bigger threat first while two enemies are mezzed is the exact right thing to do.
Well done Grivne on winning a fight, but please folks, don't try to turn things around. He uses a bb, straight and simple, and every 'Solo' fight he has is infact, a duo. Not just him, but every other buffbot user out there.
Really makes me laugh when I read all the BuffedUpToTheirTits

Errrm I would always take out the support class, ie the one that heals, first, no point bashing on a tank if he is getting healed all the time.

And Addlecoves point was in reference to this particular fight saying that having the bot with him made him less skillful. How so?
Grivne killed 2 people while playing as 2 people. I would say that is pretty good seeing he managed to control 2 toon better than they controled their single ones.

tbh...my bot is named Slapbot, to be as provocative to albs and hibs as possible (joke ofc, tho his name realy is slapbot )

and i dont enjoy using a bot, but i am forced to since albs, hibs and mids have destroyed the rvr in HW with bots and gank groups.
I mainly uses my bot to PvE with or buff my wife beutifule wife with (love you Rowena :kiss2: ).

And i made this thread couse i thought it was funny that a minstrel and a infil didnt manage to kill a thane (even tho buffed)

Noone is forcing anyone to do anything, we all make personal choices. Don't you think every time I meet Rowena, and she usually creams my ass, I don't curse 'those buffbotted stealthers'? Every time another person makes a bb, it gets worse, so each and every one of you bb users are in fact to blame for the situation. It's very easy to point fingers at everyone but yourself, but let's all be adults here. If you have a bb, you're part of the problem. Stop whining about it, try to change it.

Mavericky, the bot was MEZZED, not healing. Grivne didn't CONTROL anything about him, but press /stick when he went out of the mpk. Addlcove was talking about using buffbots, not this particular incident.

I said well done to Grivne for the fight, he deserved it. But that's not the issue, ok? Stop trying to divert attention from the PRINCIPAL of the matter, to this or that particular and ultimately insignifcant case.

it IS funny, and i say the same...

but i use my buffbot to make the game playable again...

i have got beaten with my thane by a rr5 unbuffed infil while myself is rr6l5 and buffed to the tits...

I play already a underequiped class and the game is close to unplayable now, so my excuse for using a bot is to make the game fun again, so i can compeat again 1on1.

and i dont flame you, you make good points.

Grivne has a decent 2v2 fight, and you turn it into a buff bot whine, if Addlecove wasnt talking about this particulare case then maybe you should both go and comment in another buff bot whine thread, i am sure you can find plenty.

Buff bots suck I agree but in this case (staying on the subject of the original poster) it doesnt as it was able to be killed and was really just another 'normal' group member

Grivne did use a bot but I dont see a real problem in it. If he wants to be better with his thane (~rollseyes~) he uses a bot. So? Alot of people use a bot, so in my eyes he's only levelling the playing field. In my Hib/Guild we got atleast 2 players who got a ' buffbot'. Grivne put the bot in a vulnerable position and if a minstrel and an infiltrator cannot handle those 2, well... I Dunno, more credit to Grivne or incredible crappy played by the infil/mincer (more the last).

So hat off for Grivne.

Only thing I dont agree with is his statement that Alb and Hibs ruined RvR in HW. While that may true from his point of view, being a 'soloer' or running small groups (3~5 players) I've seen Grivne his small group (while he played a healer) kill 2 guildies of me in HW. That's 5 to 2 odds. Did those 2 say 'OMG Grivne destroyed RvR in HW'. No! They said: OK, today no duo's in HW, we either bring more people (to level playing field like Grivne does with BB) or we try and avoid that group and look for fights we can handle.

My so called 'gank-group' (which it aint, we play with guildies/friends who are online, not a fixed group) spared Grivne a few times if I could make it clear to my group in time to not kill him.

i did say hibs, albs and mids since i dont like the idea of going with a more or less optimised group to HW that is...sorry...use to be 'soloers zone'...
