Work out when you installed the game, do a search for files based on the timestamp (i.e. pick up all files that changed since you installed the game). Copy just those files to CD.

Or just burn you entire PSide directory to a DVD-RW.

That would be my choice too. Or split the burn into seperate folders and burn each 650 Mb slice to a cd.... Just dont set the burn speed to high! ;-)

Why burn everything? You'll probably need to install the game from the original CDs to set up reg settings, uninstaller, etc, anyway. It'll save time and money to just burn the files that have changed.

Once you run the game the registry will be updated. If you "drag and drop" a game complete from cd to harddrive then the only thing missing is the Start Menu short cut which you could manualy insert in three seconds (okay maybe a bit longer). Of course you might have to alter some INI files so they relflect your proper CD serial number, but then this is probably updated too once you log on using the Launch Pad....

Damn clever these programmers... Now if they can just rearrange the game slightly so those hovercraft tanks had less manvouvrbilty I would call them demi-gods - at the mo' there like beach buggies on steroids, not how I imagine several tons of metal moving around... And why doesnt the recoil from the gun effect its movment, and why dont the bones of people they run over get caught in the fans or puncture the skirt or.... Of fuck it... On second thought perhaps these guys are not so clever....

NOTE: A Demi-god is similar to a normal god only shorter and with a goatee instead of a full beard!

You've forgotten about registering DLL's etc, theres more to it than just dragging and dropping like games of old.

Aye but I'm assuming that you install the game first then dump the copy over the top.
Run a full scan afterwards to pick up anything missing.
