£7 for the cheap cinema on the motor way before getting into Glasgow town, looking at more if actually go into glasgow. TIcket prices just keep rising and as they know people will pay it if they want to see film they will keep doing so... guess that why people more likely to download films they think may be good, and only go to those they know thye will like.

That £3.75 is Showcase Cinema in Gorton, about 3 miles from the city centre. It isn't state of the art by any means but it is clean and comfortable. There are a few other cinemas locally that are £5 or so but they aren't as clean or convieniant so I stick to showcase unless we are having a lads night out and then we goto The Gallery at the Manchester Filmworks, pay £15 and get all you can eat/drink refreshments plus massive leather chairs to watch the film from.

Cinema is 7-9€ here, depending on where you go. Well ok, they might increase the prices once the cinema is rebuilt (it burnt down cause of a popcorn machine, nerf popcorn), but it's an awesome cinema, considering it's in a small town. Has the latest technology inside, very comfortable seats and is generally a very nice place to be =)

Specify who you're talking to please :p

Not you ;)

By the way, in Norway a cinema ticket costs about 7 british pounds, that won't stop me from going to the cinema anyway.

Seems only liloe understands the idea of basic life -> i.e. do not use pirate copies and do not use your insecurities as weapons against others.

It's quite amusing to watch a whole load of ignorant people defend their lifes and make it out that the grass is always greener everywhere else apart from where they are. Here's a tip - get rid of your fuckin internet and buy the game then. You guy's (most of you anyway) do not live harsh, harsh lives. The majority of you have internet at home, a fair few of you have played DAoC (some even with two accounts) and if things are getting a bit harsh and you can't afford a game - try Ebay, cheap online stores or visit Nettos instead of Tescos.

I almost do certainly know about life and the shit it brings upon people. But the dramatic ways in which you people express yourself, making you sound like you can't spare £20 once every 2-3 months is complete and utter bullshit.

Do an extra job? Something silly like your local Avon? Or work as a waiter in a bar? You can NEVER EVER begin to put other's in the deep end of shit because you're life isn't as rosy as it could be.

Maybe if you had studied harder at school, or if you try harder at work, or if you invest into a different career, you may not have had the problems you have. It is no-one's responsibility but you're own.

End of.

stfu bugz seriously. Life isnt this straight and narrow road which your posh fucking retard ass has been put on. How can you have experienced it? your only 16, you havent even left your parents house yet you are giving lectures on the 'wrongs and rights' of life.

Dtudied harder at school, some people cant help what is set infront of them, you just have to work with what you get and for some thats nothing through no fault of there own.

Please, I beg you, talk like this in reallife to people that may have actually hit rock bottom... Please please tell them that it's their own fault. That they should've worked harder. That they should've studied harder.

I'll await the day that you'll be put in your place hardhandedly...

i think bugz is talking shit too.

my mam went through a rough patch for some years as a single parent. she used to have to take me to uni and sit in her classes because she couldnt afford a babysitter. she used to clean peoples houses and all kinds of shit jobs.

is that her fault?

no, its the way life goes. if she had to get some rip off stuff then i dont blame her.

I was refering to those who mug others off in the world of online gaming. IF you had somewhat comprehended the thread you'd know this.

@Tris - Yes but that isn't in the context either. Unless your single mum downloaded illegal games to play when she was at uni? ;)

@Eversmallx - retard yet more intelligent than you? Hoho :D

heh, Bugz is trying to take the moral high ground, but one day he will be brought down to earth. Only thing is, he will most likely pretend that he still better then the rest.

Life can suck at times Bugz. I am currently broke, and yet I am in full time employment working in a decent enough paid line of employment. Why? Well I am currently a months wage down due to some stupid old bitch reversing into my car causing hefty damage. Due to them then not telling their insurance company and leaving me and my insurance company chasing about after them I have to pay the costs upfront till it is sorted. This could take months for me to get back. I do not get a break in my other financial costs because of this so scraping by and no room for entertainment costs. And yet in your mind if i want to prevent myself from getting depressed and bored I should go get another job when I already work full time? Hah. Wait till you get a job that isn't working in McDonald's for 8 hours a week!

And by the way, as I said, even in my current financial position I put some my money into the gaming industry. Yet I also currently download Heroes for entertainment and the odd other tv program. And yet I still invest into entertainment as I pay tv subscription fees (licence and sky) on a monthly bases. Yes I abuse the fact I can get hold of certain things, and yet that doesnt mean you are stopping self putting money into it in other ways (Though no doubt certain people never buy anything they want, but that minority).

You really cant comment on life till you lived it. You are being kept in a shell at the moment, in the big bad world things dont always go to plan. Partner been made redundant 3 times, most people dont get made redundant once in a lifetime, you try to plan around that when local area in a depression and no jobs, facing increasing costs etc etc and then come back and tell us that you have never done anything that fits into the "grey" area. Sure for 99.999999999999999999999999999% of people there is someone worse off then yourself, but that still doesnt mean that you yourself aint in a harsh position.

Least we can always rely on you coming up with some utter bollocks, it is evident in most your posts :touch:

End of rant, just fed up with kids that got no clue of reality.

Thanks for that Corran but then again, you're still missing my point.

I won't bother explaining it for the 10606th time as no doubt it'll go whoooosh right over you again. :)

i think everyone gets your point, its pretty clear.

its the way you sound when you make it thats the issue here.

no its not legal to download shit, and it doesnt make it automatically right because your skint. and there isnt always something you can do to magically get extra money. you make it sound like you can go out tomorrow, find a job and be working there the day after :p

but we cant just base everything you do around law. we all have different morals and and ethics and apply them differently when we do things.

in my mind if someone is totally broke and cannot afford at all to do anything entertaining, i think its ethically fine to download a pc game. there is only so long you can cope with not doing anything and sometimes your on the verge of cracking up because you simply cannot afford a damn thing. obviously you havent been to this stage, or maybe you have and just dont admit it. but if you have then youd know what goes through peoples heads. being stuck in the same loop of getting up, go to work, come home, be bored goto bed, is not good.

Well, my main point is the fact that why should someones downfall mean they have to abuse others?

I simply replied as harsh as I did before because people seem to think that mugging off others because you're life isn't all rosies is fine.

It's not -> hence why such an act shown in this thread is illegal. It's not me being irrational or a ignorant twat, it's me agreeing with the law. Shock horror.

i cant believe you see downloading a pirated computer game as 'mugging'.
try getting mugged in real life and then compare that to pirating software :)

I very much agree with your idea of ethics & morals and judging by this thread people do have a clear distinction regarding the law and their own personal judegement.

That said, I've been in shit situations before (including my family being homeless for half a year and having to be cramped up in a tiny bungalow with relatives) but I just don't think I can condone it (unless, as you demonstrated, someone had a particular deprived life - something I know the majority of us forumites do not have).

I hope you never had a sip of beer before you turned 16.
I hope you never crossed the red light...
I hope you'll never drive a mile too fast...
I hope you don't have sex with your girlfriend if she's under 16.
I hope you'll never ever smoke a joint or take an xtc pill...
God forbid if you'll ever do any of these because *shock horror* it's all against the law!

a) Drinking can be done at your house if you're under 16
b) I don't drive and jay-walking isn't a crime in England (iirc)
c) The Police offer tolerance levels for driving speeds :)
d) I go for the older type
e) drugs are bad :>

:D

hugs for all!

b: Jay-walking is a crime if you cross the red pedestrian light.
c: Still against the law
d: I hope you didn't have sex then when you were 15, because that could be explained as providing an incentive to commit a felony.

That said, I am more independant now than you'll ever be mate. I manage to juggle everything with my own money, and considering I have a gf, a whole host of bdays etc. to buy for and the general affairs of myself, that is a very impressive feat.

do you pay bills etc every month?
