Ok, does anyone know how the hell to get windows 2003 to synchronize it's time with an external ntp server?

I've tried setting servers using the "net time" commands and the w32tm commands but all i get upon starting the time service is an entry in the event log stating:
"This machine is configured to use the domain hierarchy to determine its time source, but it is the PDC emulator for the domain at the root of the forest, so there is no machine above it in the domain hierarchy to use as a time source. It is recommended that you either configure a reliable time service in the root domain, or manually configure the PDC to synchronize with an external time source. Otherwise, this machine will function as the authoritative time source in the domain hierarchy. If an external time source is not configured or used for this computer, you may choose to disable the NtpClient"

It's getting very annoying now seeing as all my other computers take their time off the win 2003 server and that is constantly reporting incorrect time.

My Win2k3 server is in a workgroup so it's got the "Internet Time" tab in Date/Time settings, have you tried looking around the group policy?

Well if all else fails you could always try installing Automachron. Can allegedly be set up as a service in NT/2K/XP, but I've never tried (I just run it from Startup folder).
