OK, the story in short.

I buy 2 x tickets for a gig. I post them to my friend who I've bought them for as a early Xmas gift. She's no longer allowed to go (insane mother). I'm £40 out of pocket, and have no idea what I should do/how I should go about it. Ticketmaster's customer service isn't open until Monday.

Anyone had a similar problem or know what the fuck I can do? Argh :\

I have no idea what to do, other than inform you that £40 on a gift for a female friend is 10 times more than you should be spending.

Unless of course sex is pending.

Phone her mother and explain politely that you're £40 out of pocket and that maybe she might reconsider her descision for the sake of friendship and Christmas spirit.

















I'd never do that myself but it's worth a shot.

Sex would probably have been pending if I'm seeing her on Monday. Plus, I love her to death so I don't mind spending money on her.

Disturbed @ Brixton Academy. Sunday 1st December.

I'd go but Disturbed are shit and I'm seeing the Manics on the Tuesday following.

Get them back from her, go down to Brixton on the night and pimp them out you should clear at least 30 quid each for em

I think that might be a contingency plan if I can't get a refund. No offence, but sending tickets to random people off forums doesn't rank high in the books of sanity for me :)

Damn you, use the tickets, i'm going to Disturbed (they're v. good live apparently). Also Ticketmaster are wank, which is why I never use them.

Update!

She's randomly going to the gig again now, and I posted her the tickets on Monday. As of yesterday, she hasn't received them ffs. She may have got them today, dunno yet. Fucking royal mail :(

Hardly, the first 4 (maybe 5) albums were excellent - admittedly the last album (Know Your Enemy) and singles (So Why So Sad through to There By The Grace Of God) were decidedly mediocre, but the first 3 albums were genius, next two were ok if you like that sort of thing.

Faster and Motorcycle Emptiness are two of the best songs of the 90s though, easily.
