The problem is not this thread. The problem is people flaming everything to hell and back and then calling it a whine just because they cant have a reasonable discussion.

80% of the posts in the DAoC section are shit like "QQ", "whine more" and pointless stuff like that but is that the fault of the thread starters? I dont think so. In my opinion its the fault of some "simple" individuals who are not able to come up with any better replies and still cant refrain from answering at all.


And honestly, if you dont see his point about bodyguard pets (aswell as SoS and BoF bots I have seen) then you dont even know what fair play is. So why reply at all?

Right again, yet at the beginning of this game they were not and they day when Mythic began to officialy support alt-tab'ing and multiple program instances was when this game lost alot of its qualities. Unfair advantages: Buffbots and other bots, which everyone has access to if they can afford to maintain them/run them. Typically used by stealthers/organised RvR players.

Nope, I didnt say you have no life if you want to win a game. Noone plays to loose. But you cant deny the fact that some people are taking this game way too serious.

I got a buffbot myself, yet I think I shouldnt be forced to use one to be competitive.

whether i won or not...i would of still made this thread...because to me its an unfair advantage....i have a BB which some might consider unfair...but in the day when 90% of players have a BB...kinda evens things up,...but

If i was to run with my BB...then wouldnt that be unfair if i bumped into a solo person without 1?....means i could provide end for myself...and maybe heal....i choose NOT to run with BB....because i see it as unfair and unsporting

Using a bg bot is being a bit of a chicken. Like hey i can stunn, pbaoe, debuff my own nuke, have a pet to interupt and kite with, and now i´m almost impossible to kill with melee unless someone have interupts, in which case i can prolly moc.

Don´t like the bbs either, but gonna be nice with buffshearing.

I play to win too (and I am somewhat fucked in the head I gotta admit... but thats for other reasons) but I'd never come up with something like a bodyguard/BoF/SoS pet. For me winning is more of an achievement if I beat my opponent fare and square.

What I said was, and that is a fact, that some people play games to compensate for real life issues. Well, some people drive their cars like madmen to compensate and some beat up their wifes and kids. Some have to carry handguns to raise their selfesteem... I dont think this is the place for some phsychology essays and I am kinda tired from work so I'll cut it here.
