Inertia keeps a lot of jobs here. When big companies have a decision to make they often choose differently than they did previously.

Covid has given us lots of decisions to make.

That's a local issue. However, if people were working the same - just from somewhere else - then the GDP wouldn't be dropping...

I think using GDP as any sort of guide in the current crisis is somewhat pointless, even then people not going to work and remotely working will reduce associated services.

Yeah using enmass working at home due to covid isn't a good indicator to what impact working from home has on the economy.

Just shifts spend i would have thought. From over priced coffee and food and travel in the city to life improvement and wellness focus. So much more time wfh than the hours and fossil fuels spent getting to an office to do the same thing.

My company has sent a message around saying anyone can work from where they like going forward. Hoping that they can get rid of some rented office space in many places.

My kids love the Finnish version, even if they have no idea who the celebrities are it keeps them busy for an hour or so gives me peace
