I disabled OneDrive. I have a NAS drive for that.
The whole point with cloud storage is easy availability to all data from anywhere, and for me offsite storage. If my house burns down i still have all my 10 year old holliday pictures safely saved at Microsoft and Apple.

This shit is not good for crypto currency...an utter minefield for the novice.
Life Savings Stolen from Second-hand Ledger Hardware Wallet
It was his own fault, he knew he was buying a hardware wallet, did his research but didn't read things on the site about resetting the device to ensure only you know the private keys. The scammer basically set the device up and put a card in the box with the private keys, the end user thought it was setup.

Doh! As for a novice, he researched, read reddit and visited the site. There are numerous threads all over reddit on how to safely setup a Ledger wallet.

Some woman that nobody has heard of before covering a desk that is ultimately pretty damn quiet and boring, news wise, complaining that she got paid less than Jeremy Bowen, a household name, often reporting from warzones.

Even psrtially davvy people get caught out..professionally printed scratch reveal documentation...they will nust get better and better and it will come to a point where even experts will be wary.
Now they tell.us every chip on the planet is wide open and security experts are expecting hundreds of other exploits to be discovered.
One day the entire bitcoins in the world will go.missing as someone dors it for a laugh.

I was watching Martin Lewis on TV a while back. He said "If you need to ask how do I BitCoin then you shouldn't". Wise words I'd say.

I do have a question...you can back up your bitcoins on any drive..so presumably when you sell them, the key is deleted..whatever and all your copies become useless..so how do you kniw someone hasnt got hold of a copy ...sold it and you are holding dead bitcoins.

The problem is that people who only ever vaguely heard of Bitcoin saw its price shooting up through November and into December, saw it as a get rich quick scheme and jumped in with both feet and very little common sense.

The one @Job linked to is particularly devious and unfortunate for the victim (the fraudster had basically rewritten the instructions included in the box with the device and resealed it), for all he knew he was following Ledger's instructions. But ffs don't throw £25k onto something you bought on ebay before you're absolutely certain that it's secure.

Newspapers, does anyone still buy them, at all?

I think even my mum stopped buying them in favour of the website and she has special looking at tablet glasses.
