Never did play the X-wing vs tie fighter games though. Did enjoy Freespace and some other fun space-games back in the days, but that was the time when i had the curiosity and patience to play realistic combat-sims and buy a joystic.

If its by the people behind Elite Dangerous...I don't see why not, given enough of a budget.

I played it a little bit. Liked the technical achievement, the combat, the exploration. I think it's probably ready-made for the rift, so will save it for when they figure that out.

In the meantime, elite with a star trek story would be cool.
