Gas and copper bottomed pans or gtfo.

Can't stand cooking at the inlaws with their induction/steel palava.

I bet you're an AGA type like @Lamp is. I'm surprised you don't make your own charcoal tbh.

Doing some revision for an exam.

It's about why did Labour with the 1945 election - really interesting stuff since it has a direct effect on us.

Many arguments are passed around arguing that the War had caused socialism in the UK, I'd disagree, I'd argue that it was clever politicians in the Labour party focusing on getting them to win the next election whilst the Tories were busy fighting the war. I need a new printer
- Windows 10 compatible
- Wireless
- Can print straight off flash drives and USB HDDs
- Compact size
- Economical cartridges

Does such a printer exist?

Isn't there a printer that accelerates particles from thin air onto paper with no cartridges needed?

actually, there are specialist wok induction kits, but hey ho. if you like wokking, then perhaps seek alternative heat sources.
Must stir-fry at least once a week.

If your cooker doesn't natively support all types of cooking then it's not a cooker. Imagine if 'doze didn't support SSD's but Chrome did eh? :p

If they don't work with Woks then it's a useless cooker tbh.

Gas = Win.

Our wok is "induction compatible" and works fine. Interestingly it's actually getting difficult to buy gas hobs in Ireland (you can't buy gas cookers at all); you can buy range cookers etc if you're going to attach a back boiler and all that malarkey, and you can buy big-ass professional gas hobs, but there's no real benefit over induction for domestic use and induction hobs are a shitload cheaper to run, easier to keep clean and safer.

Yes (my HP Fits your spec and its 4 years old) apart from the last line. But there's always Tesco for the non brand variant cartridges.

Outlaws have one, oil heating 4 ovens and two hot plates + water heating. Pretty damned really good love doing toast on the hot plate.

I recently cooked a stir fry on a gas hob with a specialised wok burner like this:

wokhob.jpg

It has a small central burner which heats the bottom of the wok and a much larger outer one which heats the sides - maintaining the temperature of a wok is essential and I was very impressed with the results (y)

My gas stove has this feature. Wife always cooks everything on this burner and always on max. I persistently turn it down when she is cooking and she gets all "I don't meddle when you're cooking, so butt out!", to which I usually reply "when did I last serve you something burned, like your burning the fucking pasta right now, how is that even possible, where the fuck did all the water go, has it vaporised already, you put it on like 2 minutes ago, I'll call the pizza place.."

It is lovely, when handled correctly, and with a wok it is pure win.

We have a hob with a burner like that and a special mount to allow them not to wobble.

@DaGaffer i am sure gas is cheaper than electric to produce heat with at least here. Or you would have electric heating everywhere.

Gas is cheaper per kwh, but electricity wastes much less heat.
Main problem is the networks coudn't handle the load, and there are big losses to heat/resistance , while gas funnily enough arrives with just as much energy as it left, though the pumps do take some.

Gas is obviously very lossy.

Quick google: Induction transfers about 90% of energy to pot, gas about 40%, 'leccy about 70%.

But then how you cook can be more important than the type of cooker you use...

Shitty of the express to grab a headline like that. Veganism wasn't anything to do with altitude sickness.

But then, it's the dog-turd express.
To be fair it's the reason she was doing it. It's a shitty headline but she wouldn't have been there had she not been a vegan trying to prove a point.

Well the plumbers who did all our other work recommended them and installed it. so I hope it's ok. the firm is local. I've been using them for years having been thro some very dodgy ones.

A calorie is a calorie, regardless of energy source.
I meant how much money does a calorie cost or a kw hour or how every you measure it :p. If gas is 40% used but is 10% the price of leccy then it will still be more economic to use. Or somethhing. I know gas is cheaper than leccy
