Abrams didn't say that at all. He said "why not?" in response to a general question about gay characters in the Star Wars universe.

Pc World are a joke
They keep me waiting for 25 mins and they come out with a laptop in a battered sellotaped box and then try to flog me various warranties

I walked out. Sans laptop

Will take my business elsewhere

They are shite...seriously, the attitude of the staff gobsmacks me, it's like they send the staff on fuk you courses.
I'm stood there with my mother, looking at a high end laptop for her, it's hundred quid off...like whatever, this tit actually pushes me aside, rips off the sticker and puts a new price on for 150 quid more...so I said OK, we'll take it for the sale price...and he says to me 'no you won't'.
I sent him around the back and he comes back to say 75 quid off.
I'm looking at him, and he seriously believes I'm going to agree and this is somehow the way to treat someone buying an 800 quid laptop.

You can still do better than PC World. Can't you go to a supermarket or something?

what about a black, gay droid coming in from another system to do maintenance that was both higher quality and cheaper than local droids?

It would seem someone knows his prejudices too much.

That tv mast climb was something. It makes me want to cover myself in butter and slide down my roof

thread on Reddit about old person refusing cancer treatment and going on a roadtrip instead.
One guy replies about collecting as many credit card a you can in your life, then sign everything to your kids and live on the cards till you claim bankrupcy.
Is this doable?
we're talking about a ituation where your death is predicted.

Wouldn't that debt be left to your kids though?

I don't know about the U.S but over here, the estate is used to cover as muchof the debt as possible and if there isn't enough money then the rest is written off.

"Technically speaking, if you pass away, it is the responsibility of your estate to pay any debts. If you have no estate, or the estate isn't sufficient to cover all liabilities, they get written off and creditors cannot chase surviving family members, no matter how big the debt. However, there are some exceptions."

What happens to your debts when you die? - BBC News

You'd have to give everything away first, and make sure the credit cards are in your name solely

That's for inheritance tax. Its called a PET (potentially exempt transfer)

You'd need to bend the ear of a solicitor.

@Tilda could advise

It has some relevance to inheritance in as much as if you give your pssessions to your kids, then need a care home, the council can claim it back if it's less than 7 years.

They closed the loop hole where you could give someone your house survive seven years and it was exempt.

Really? I didn't even realise it was a "loophole". So you can't gift anything to family members anymore?

You can. Provided you survive for 7 years after the gift is made it will be exempt from IHT. You need professional advice.

Our solicitor charged a fortune for advice relating to estate planning, but it's worth every penny to sleep well at night
