Interesting that people are linking Typhoon Haiyan to global warming without any scientific basis (but it makes good sound bites).

When you look at the stats for big tropical storms 5 of the top 6 happened in the 1950's and 1960's so if anything climate change has decreased their number.

Went back to PC world for another SSD..they only had 240gb vrrsion for 134 quid..only wanted 60gb as startup drive and they were sold out..so bit the bullet anyway..took it to checkout rattling around in security box the size of a shoebox...guy scans it...29.99...thatll do nicely...grabbed it and ran.

Yes because there's no point not doing it.

No because it's not a samsung device. You need SuperSU there's a pretty good guide here for 4.3. Be aware if you jump to 4.4 after Rooting 4.3 it will remove the root. There's a better thread for Nexus 7 stuff on the tech forums here

If the kid got into some other trouble though it could count against them - its also ridiculous punishing the child for failure to give permission for a school trip - parents still have the right to decide what they wish.

Missing the point a bit. Its not the importance of the permanent record that's an issue, its the threat in the first place. You're right that permanent records aren't that big a deal, the English/Welsh examination system makes them kind of irrelevant, whereas in the US they can follow you all the way to college (who get see all kinds of junk about you other than your GPA, like IQ tests and disciplinary stuff).

I've recently got a madcatz rat5. just under £50 on amazon, and happy with it so far. They're a bit strange looking, but feel more comfortable than they look. You can customise several of the buttons though, and switch between 3 button layouts on the fly, using a button next to the left mouse button. Outside of a game, you can load in any profile containing a set of 3 button layouts, or make your own.
