Pudding can mean i. a pudding (savory or sweet), or ii. a synonym for dessert in general. So an eclair, if eaten as a dessert, counts as a pudding, but not if its eaten without a meal in front of it.

A kind of batter that is cooked around the meat of a Sunday lunch, soaking up all the juices from the meat. Again, ponces from the south do it wrong and make them separately so they end up with a vaguely edible round thing.
