The council just delivered ANOTHER recycling bin. Thats 3 now (paper, bottles/cans, and the new one is for cardboard / food packets). Plus the usual mixed household rubbish in a 4th bin.

We have a little food caddy in the house and food waste goes from that into a big green bin outside which also takes garden waste (so compostable stuff really). We also have a big black bin for general waste. Then there are also the green bags which contain the recyclable stuff like plastic, paper, cardboard, glass, metal, etc...

The black bins are collected every week and the other two alternate weekly.

Other parts of Cardiff have a brown bin too I think. Fuck knows what that's for.

Parts of Gloucestershire have about 8 or so bins. I know Bishop's Cleeve does. Insanity. They refused to take our rubbish a couple months back when we mixed the plastics and cans..

The other thing I saw today: 2 geezers walking down the Euston Road about 9am...the one on the right is holding a Sprite bottle filled with "Sprite" and a fag in the other hand; immediately reminded me of Toto (leather jacket, beard, long hair).
