It would be more agreeable to completely abstain from all forms of smoking and nicotine replacement as these things are often easy gateways to starting smoking again. Having said that, I know many people who have quit through vaping. I commend you.

Stop trying to twist things to align with your own little agenda. Are you saying the exact OED definition is "not listening to other peoples views"? Does it not list the types of views they are intolerant of (which isn't the same as "not listening to")? Religion, politics, race, etc... I'm not going to pay to view the OED definition but the 9th edition (1995) paper Oxford dictionary I just checked does.

Always has been. It's not being 'used differently'. Islamic religious bigotry could describe:

The opinions of fanatical Islamists against unbelievers, or;
Hatred of Islam

Racial bigotry is an interchangable term when talking about racism.


It's just English. Plain and simple. But your grasp of our mother toungue is incredibly weak (as you show regularly by having a go at necessary and useful grammar) - so I can see why this sort of thing irks you.

If vaping doesn't work (it didn't for me) have a look at IQOS, more of a cross between the two. It vaporises tobacco mixed with Glycerine, and as it is heating the tobacco rather than burning there are 95% less chemicals in it. Refills are a bit pricey at £7 a packet, but still cheaper than Marlboro. And now I've been on IQOS for a few months, these Heets are actually nicer....

Haven't used these to quit just yet but I have used them to cut right down, gone from 20 a day to around 3 or 4.

That's the other issue, they are about as morish as Pringles covered in Crack But to be fair, if you haven't had one for a while the "withdrawl" is nowhere near that of a cigarette, so it is quite easy to temper their use. I've had about 6 since I last posted, but I'm at work so that's allowed

Isn't that because they have five times more nicotine in them than fags? (Which themselves are one of the most addictive things evah).

Only people who I've known to give up have done it cold turkey. Adding nicotine into your system to make up for the lack of nicotine sounds like an addict who's refusing to accept reality and is just doing a dance to make themselves feel better about their failure to act.

It's more like around a fifth as much. I care not however, nicotine itself is no more harmful than caffeine, it's just the delivery method that sucks. IQOS feels a far more 21st Century way of doing it

Ive never smoked because Im a pretty bad case supertaster.
Which isnt anything special, but it means I cant stand cigarettes, beer, most greens..anything with a strong taste like liver or kidney.

Ive probably drink less than 20 pints in my life..it tastes like pure shit to me, and the same for ciggies.

Depends on the tobacco for me now. IQOS vs Marlboro is very close, with a red probably just shading it. IQOS vs any other tobacco tho? Not even close.

IQOS smells way nicer too, kind of a cross between creme caramel and burnt toast.
