We have only worked in 'jobs' since the industrial revolution..say 200 years and the end of work is on the horizon..it will be such a minuscule part of human progress it will barely be mentioned in history.
Great isnt it, us lot get to live the 9-5 drudgery that 99.999999% of humans will never experience.

I think your assumption that most people that require help are on benefits.

They're not, because living purely off benefits is impossible now.

I know of plenty of kids at school who come from a single parent and they work 9-3 in a shitty job because child care is too expensive for them to do more hours.
You can live fine on benefits if you reel in the luxuries.
A si gle woman with two kids would have to earn about 2K takehome to equal the dole.

So how did they plan to keep the kid in clothes and fed when they planned to have them?

No personal responsibility was taken and no conseqences thought about before they decided to have a child.

I'll make this my last response to you since it's probably more productive to smack my head into a brick wall.

You have a group of kids in the underclass section of society; the undesirables, very high levels of immediate gratification; will work hard to support kids but if they don't have kids they'll just work until they have enough money and then quit and just coast for a bit.

We need to eliminate this class as a whole, and the only way to do it is through education, not just school education but the ridiculous amounts of services which local councils give. The problem is that they're largely invisible to the rest of society, the only people that see them are the people that use them, so when the Conservative Government cut their budgets to pretty much fuck all (No, really.) it has a massive impact on society; you have more people not aspiring to leave that under class and therefore they become a strain on society.

It costs money, that's the issue, that's what it boils down to. The Conservatives don't give a fuck about society and they actively do as much as they possible to cause divide and conflict to distract the masses from the richer getting richer and the people getting poorer.

The problem is that what the Conservatives do is just cause further problems in the future, which of course will cause a moral panic and people like @Job will be posting about how kids these days are shit heads compared to 10 years ago, and it's their fault, nothing related to the Government.

They should probably just campaign for sterilisation, I could support that more than the current system which is broken but attempts to appease most people on the political spectrum.

You can't possibly be holding the US up as a beacon of good in supporting your argument.

Take the time to watch this @Moriath. It's definitely worth it and completely on-topic:

No i am not holding the usa up as a beacon of good. I had listened to that and thought it was good.

@Job said the usa was better on welfare than we thought so i posted that to him to show it wasnt.

And you were incredulous when i suggested the poor should think before having kids. And you would when pushed support sterilisation.

But ok its fair that we are in this mess and all. But who screwed the economy up enough that there was no money to attribute to these causes when the conservatives came to power in 2010?

Who left the note in their office. Good luck there is no money?

Just where would you take the money from to fund what you need?

And yet, evidence shows if you have free quality lifelong education, strong trade unions and a powerful welfare system then a society is more equal, yet has more billionaires and is richer all around - so a win for everyone.

Got San Andreas on my phone, not sure exactly what you are supposed to do outside of launching dirt bikes from 1000ft.

Blaming an admittedly poor labour government for a global economic crisis is absurd, conservatives saw their chance to slash and burn and took it with glee.

Just switched on the radio. God knows what it was tuned into. Within 10 seconds I heard a posh old woman say "scrotum... vagina... always preferred anal sex... herpes"

I'm all for transparent government but someone needs to tell Theresa May where to draw the line.

Now the topic is about "small appendages". The Speaker of the House of Commons?
