Carries death is more of a personal feeling of loss of youth for most of a certain age.
It's what she represents rather than anyone feeling sorrow for the individual.
Whats that got to do with hopkins ?

Tbh, I couldn't give 2 flying fucks if I wake up tomorrow and read the headline "Katie Hopkins was found dead with a bigmac stuffed down her throat" I'd be too busy having a wank to give a shit.

Actually, the two are quite similar in their reaction to the world.

Spent a night at a bothy with a mate, in Wales. Freezing fecking cold and extremely windy so carting my camera and tripod up there was a bit of a waste of time.

Get yourself a decent layer system and you are sorted all year round.

Well you have to walk 2.5 miles over boggy ground, while carrying waterproofs, thermals, spare clothes, sleeping bag, ground sheet, pillow, food, fuel for the fire, cooking bits and pieces...not much room for a camera after that...

Why was the picture going to be better 2.5 miles from where you started?

For UK weather you don't need all that much, I have a pair of insulated craghoppers, waterproof and warm. A generic but decent fleece for a mid layer and a pinewood jacket, water and windproof. Some merrell waterproof boots, they say they are good for snow but I doubt they would be up to Scandinavian snow... good enough for UK though. I do a lot of sitting still (shooting) in the cold and they are more than enough.

You can get some excellent packs fairly cheaply which you can carry all your gear in, mine is 70ltr with two 15ltr side bags, can be taken off and turned into a daysack. Tent, sleeping bag, mat, cooking system, food and water along with spare clothes all go into that along with a hand axe and a decent knife, you shouldn't have to carry fuel with you, maybe some kindling at most.

or you can go mad and deck yourself out in Welcome to Fjällräven - Fjällräven gear but expect to pay an absolute fortune (money well spent though)

Waitrose are doing a quarter bottle of Lanson champagne for £8.50. A full size bottle is £20.

Decided instead to think of my stomach and bought a tub of these:

I've hiked / wild camped in Skirtland for photography reasons, I shall share some wisdom when I get back in the country.

Dude I wasn't going to take photographs, I was going and thought "I'll take the camera too". And it was windy as fuck where I was, like "Will the roof be on in the morning?" windy. I'm not into wild camping, campsites are my preference. I won't be pitching a tent on a mountain anytime soon...
