I fell off my bike this morning and landed like a boss.
Nice work that man.

Just been to hire a fancy dress suit. Whilst I was trying it on listened to two birds talking - one of them saying she's just bawled out a load of cyclists.

Cyclists were riding two abreast (the fuckers!) on a straight wide 60mph road. She was scared of cyclists - they both said they were - so rather than simply pass them by safely and go on her merry way she swerved at them screaming. Apparently one of them nearly wobbled into the others. "Serves 'em right for riding two abreast - and on a fast road!!!"

I know it wasn't you guys but I feel the need to post teedles' vid again:

Just spent 5 hours of my life loading Kodi on everything I've got and downloading all the feeds, organising them to preference and now I can't be arsed watching a thing.
How fucking boring is Sky sports, never had it myself, but got the feeds for the missus..7 or 8 channels of utter shite.
The one Eurosport international channel is better.

My sister's dog chewed through her inflatable paddling pool this afternoon. She wasn't amused. I couldn't stop laughing. The dog seemed pretty pleased with itself.

Fucking nuisance cyclists :D I was waiting to drive out of my friends driveway this morning when a guy rode past with his two toddler aged daughters on their bikes with stabilizers and everything. One of them could not ride up the dropped curb. So he tried to come back but then had to run after the other one who was flying along the road. When that one was recovered he came back for the first who was still stuck. He tried to push her up but she jumped off and threw an epic temper tantrum. It was some of the funniest shit I have ever seen and the whole time the Dad had this fuck my life look on his face.

My mates looking at meltdown...150 odd properties and he can't offset the mortgage against the tax...he'll have nothing left for upkeep or to pay the 6 permanent staff, spoke to him a few hours ago..he's going to sell straight away before the market bottoms for lets....no one will want the tenants unless they can buy outright...he's allready started on an eviction list...all seems a bit coincidence, but his accountant has been updating him over the last week.

It started hailing yesterday, and my road has a park on the end of it.

It's evil, I know, but there was a bunch of families walking back from the park in the hail with kids roaring their eyes out and parents like WTF DO I DO

This Buy let tax is frickin outrageous, they are taxing you on capital not profit...it could bring the government down...wtf ate they thinking.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...-landlords-wake-up-to-Osbornes-150pc-tax.html

So we should feel sorry for these wealthy individuals that have tied up 15%+ of the property market with buy-to-let mortgages, inflating both property prices and rents and restricting an already limited amount of housing space for normal people. Seems like a sensible correction to me.

Wow, didn't read the article at all did you? Its not the wealthy landlords who'll be fucked, its middle incomes (again) who were advised to buy-to-let instead of ISAs etc.

Idiots advised by idiots.

Besides they will still make money because the value of the property will still increase, it is still better than an ISA. It just means the few that have multiple properties, arse fucking those that want to buy will have to think long and hard about whether they want to buy several houses.

They won't make money if the tax due plus mortgage is more than the rent.

Its tax on profit, not tax on income. The value of the property will still increase.

Besides, its about time Buy-to-letters got shafted, one of the major problems with affordable housing.

Yeah, except it clearly isn't.

But anyway, isn't it nice they are starting to tax the haves, rather than the have nots? :)

I tried to find the article again but failed. During the latest property crash there was a story of a guy who was a paper millionaire off of a £100k investment. He bought property in Clacton, Harwich and Jaywick then buy to let mortgaged them and invested the money again in another one. He was "worth" £2.?m at one point. Then when the mortgage prices went up and no one would pay enough rent to cover it they got repossessed one by one and eventually he lost everything including his home.

There is another guy doing it in Clacton at the moment. I wanted to go and look at a flat to buy as it was a good price. It had been on Right Move less that 3 hours when I called but they said it had been bought already. 2 months later it was back on the market for £20k more with some new kitchen doors and a lick of paint.

I have been looking at getting my own place for a while now and I wish I could have done it a year ago, what I can comfortably afford on my own is getting smaller and shitter day by day. I went to see some new flats (houses and bungalows in the same development) that were a great price until you factored in all the finishing that you "have" to purchase. I would have loved one though. Network points next to every plug socket in the roof space and even in the shed/garage. Next to the front door is a little cupboard with a 24 point patch panel and a DSL phone socket. Brilliant for anyone clued up and not very expensive when the Electrics run back there anyway.

My mates got 6 million worth of mortgage...interest only as well...so he'll be taxed on every penny he get's off tenants' which is around 70 grand a month...leaves him around 37 grand a month to pay the mortgage, his 6 staff, upkeep, insurance, endless payments for certificates etc.
Losing the tax relief on the interest is a huge hit and is going to leave him struggling, he actually allready pays himself only 40g a year for that kind of outlay.
It's a long game, but he can go tits up amytime.

Its not his outlay though, is it? Its the banks.

He is making money for nothing while pushing up house prices.

0 sympathy.
