So yeah, shame that Kirk forgot several notes doing the set but I'll forgive him.

The fuck at the bouncing balls.

I think the vast majority of metal fans agree that Metallica have got shitter over time; the disagreement is the album where they started being shit.

My favourite Metallica album is Kill Em All. The next few are ok but once they started slowing down they got really fucking boring imo. Anything after the black album is complete wank, including the one job linked.

I haven't actually seen them live, but I would be open to watching them depending on the set list. They seem like they still have some energy. If they play mostly old songs I reckon I'd enjoy it.

funny you say that Job. I stopped listening to Metallica after the Black Album, with which they basically made their music main-stream (imo). in fact, I think I stopped listening to heavy stuff entirely after that bar Tool. not because I didn't like the abum...it just happened that way but it's fun to revisit every now and then. my fave track off TBA is My Friend of Misery.

I think that's a shame, they've made some good stuff both before and after that.
I don't agree that Load and Re-load were mainstream when they came out, far from it tbh.

@Scouse you are oooold man and that shit's even worse than fucking Prisoner series from 1979.

I wasn't born when they made it - but it was (and is) great.

Also - the Prisoner was ground breaking at the time and is properly trippy. Wouldn't fly with audiences today simply because it's too highbrow in places...

Go see them live, it is a great experience. I saw them in Gothenburg at The Big 4 tour (the other bands where opening, Metallica was obvious the head number) and loved every moment of it, both new and old songs.

I saw them a few years ago and they were awesome, missed some of them because I hooked up with some slag. Saw Rage Against of the Machine at the same time, they were fucking sick.

I knew Teeds was into gigs, but to go to the UK to see Metallica & RATM? That's some dedication.

Hey, if I could have afforded it I'd have been at Coachella last year (or the year before) to see Refused and ATDI.

Ok...he grabbed a toy mike and mimiced the bands by himself in front of the outside main stage..everytime there was a guitar solo he did his own and was running up to people and offering his imiganery guitar for them to play..then he appeared in every pub like the one we were in encouraging the crowd to join in the songs..everyone ended up chanting his name and he responded with 'who am i!'
I should have videod him
