Though that whole house now pulls in a lot less rent than that tiny little shithole...

Because after 1949 most of the powers in Germany went to the chancellor. Not the president. Much like our queen doesn't go but the prime minister does.When the world has 'world leader meetings' why does Merkel go, and not their President?
I'm more or less referring to the D-Day stuff which is more or less ceremonial, which I would imagine their President is, I guess the reason is because much like my original post - no-one knows the Presidents name, and Hitler was Chancellor anyway, not President..Because after 1949 most of the powers in Germany went to the chancellor.
