when i see an enemy i always attack it wether it be grey or yellow especially in emain "GET ORFFA MOI LAND" if i see a solo fight i will intervene 1. because its my realm mate being attacked
2. cos i don't want the enemy to get rps

i would expect the same from albs or mids

i used to complain about grey gankers (think the only thing i wouldn't do is go out looking for grey xp places as some infils do around dc) but not anymore

Well yes Tyka, kind of agree with you, but think of this:

The so-called "adds" can be in a few ways, if you see another hib grp finishing off a mid/alb grp (more than half of them dead) and just rushing in an hitting the last mids/albs left, well... i can understand why people whine about it, well I don't like to do that, sometimes we "add" and if the hibs are winning we just stop hitting, it's no real use to just hit mids/albs who are already dying just to get rps the others fought for and maybe used RAs for. (Nothing worse than hitting MoC or any special expensive RA just when another group arrives to help you out of all misery... oh wow yay well another 30min RA wasted.) I just only "add' when the other group seems to be dying, because it's also just silly to let another group die. But the worst is actually when people constantly call for help, you meet guild A and kill them then guild B comes right after and finishes you off. And then the next run this happens again. And the next run you kill guild B and guild A comes to help. Well this is just killing and they have all right to, but it gets extremely lame when that happens every run (the "calling for help") and it pisses people off. There's nothing wrong with calling for help, but just don't do it every time you're gonna die. (not saying you do) But whines about "adds" are not always stupid, it can get very annoying when done in the way i just explained.

fighting 8 vs 16 or 16 vs 8 or fighting any fight were the numbers is not even sucks bigtime cant see how anyone can find that fun and if they do they are idiots. CHALLENGE is the key to having fun.

Tyka, i am a bit agree with you in all... but one question ?

Do you like to get zergued every moment you go to emain ? i think your answer will be "no".

From this, it is where the term of "dont add plz" appeared.. Most of the people likes to play alones ( alones means with only 8 members in the grp xD ) and get fun.

Would you get fun if you are doing the thing you like... and everyone moment another one comes to bother ? what will you think ?

I am ok with the game is supposed to add and kill enemies etc...
But when you have played around 1/2 years to the game. You just want to reache the hardest challengers ( at least this is my opinion ).This thing about "dont add" appeared when NP started to play with his grp at the beginning of the summer. They were crying all the time into irc... about.. Do you need 4 fgs to kill one ? etc etc... and It pissed a lot to people who really knew to play good, to start to play with only 1 fg.... Now when you can do it , after you have trainned a lot for it, what would you think,tyka ?

Yesterday... we ran in emain for 3-4 hours about , In those 3-4 hours, we only had one really good fight. and what happened ? after we did everything to win, and the battle was around 50/ 50 .Everyone could win... one grp added us. So our enemies died in 2 secs.. what do you think mate ?

Probably you are thinking , you are bothered cos they leeched to you the rps , arent you ? , We all have enough rps, the thing is our fun was cut... ;((

So keep odins,hw to 8v8(1v1) and emain what ever, but that will never happen..and Goa loves zerg so zerg wins..as usual ;p.

Also if people do something I don't approve of, you can be sure I'll tell them that and expect that you tell me if I do something you don't like. After that, it's only a matter if I care or not.

I don't think I have to explain the way I want to play but the guild I'm in will always keep the same view of the game that we had 1 year ago and keep on playing it that way, nothing have changed and nothing will change, if you guys think the way we play sucks then report it to GOA, call 911 or someone who cares.

Coming here telling how other people suck because they don't match into your frame of how the game should be played is weak. Instead of doing that, brag about how you killed others and such stuff wich these boards are for.

Oh and btw, to all these newbies (you know who you are) that recently joined excal and are here only for the rps, I consider myself a roleplayer and will add on every single enemy I meet in the frontier, that's how the game was intended, to kill the enemies from the other realms, if you think adding is lame or whatever, go and play somewhere else.

I know how some people will react to this with childish replies but I don't care, at least now you know how I see this game should be played and this is how I _always_ played the game, the game changes, I haven't.

Just want to let that out, thanks for listening if you read through all

I have to agree with Stubbe. Im quite sure most fg people are looking for a 8vs8 to test their skills. Just that not all think this way and have to add on the fights. Kinda hard to tell your grp not to add on the fight, since that just get you throwed out or something

Tyka are right about to play with your own rules. I try as much as myself, but its not always easy. Its very hard to be in rvr grps and do your own rules. Like thanes or caveshammies.
I find it fun to ae the hammer down on the enemies, but ala its not effective...and you prolly get your grp wiped :-/

Its mainly the same in pve, but most things can turn out to be fun
Just don't play at the rules...some are to be broken imo :-P

Ok, sorry about the hijack here but how on earth does that remove the skill element from the game? It's called leveling the playingfield and makes the game more skillbased. Before spellcrafting was introduced only the die-hard gamers had everything capped. They where impossible to kill for the average player. Now the bar on how much you need to play to "max out" is lowered which means more players will compete at an equal standing. Its a "good thing(TM)" imo.

I think the quote "f*ck off you f*cking c*cks" was the most intellectual I think coming from your group. I forgot that uber rvr guild gank groups are the only people allowed to rvr.

DAOC is a MMORPG in case you forgot the rpg stands for role playing game, you don't like that, you want 1 on 1 based skills only go play a fps. And on a similar note I assume that your groups never attack groups of less than 8 players and never attack lesser RR groups, because where's the challenge in that..

And as I said before, anything in our frontiers is fair game, whether it be less players or more players I and most people I play with will steam in "for midgard".
