No I dont play games online. Unfortunately I only have a 56K modem and thats not very practical for online games...Ive tried and it irritates the hell out of me with the lag! I play Quake, Half Life, Unreal...all those types of games...

I made a remark a while ago about how these threads all end up like a scene out of Asterix - everyone in a big pile punching each other and throwing fish...It gets a bit silly some of the time...

Yes! Exactly what PR says. This happens very regularly. Peaks and troughs. It's such a short timeframe as well. Some peeps seem to have very short memories.

I both mod and post in the Q3 and RA3 forums. I just merely restrict my Q3 related wibblings to those particular forums.

The main problem with some of the more abrasive posters here is their intense desire for one-upmanship. To get one over their fellow posters. Some of the arguments are incredibly weak, and the reasoning used therein (if any at all) is weaker still. The only reason for it is a blatant ego-boost, which doesn't last long at all, and is therefore mainly pointless.

But still, it's not as bad as the General NWN forums over on the official NWN community site. The people there can be such utter children (literally) that they can denigrate the worth of someones post (and indeed opinion in general) based on their name. I mean honestly, retarded much?

But that's the internet for you - generally a lot of the people out there aren't worth wasting your effort on, because they're incapable of reasoning properly and have no idea how to debate/argue their point concisely or properly. Most of their outpourings therefore degenerate into mindless insults and bile, displaying their mental incompetence and devaluing their overall worth.
