Remember when people were asking for ideas for the Freddyshouse logo?

ie "where men are men and sheep are afraid" sort of thing?

How about:

"Where the boards are so slow you'll give up browsing"

It doesn't surprise me that not many people bother posting anymore.

I'm assuming Windows 2K/XP

Go to Start -> Run
Type cmd
Type tracert forums.freddyshouse.com

It should give you the IP address for the forums. Another option is ping forums.freddyshouse.com, which will give you the forum IP address as well.

Wouldn't be surprised if its NTL's proxies.

I am using these forums thru the same means as you and I never notice a slowdown with them. (well the other day there was a big one, but that was my fault and it lasted 2 hrs).

I clicked "Reply" and

Page generated in 0.88081 seconds with 15 queries

There is nothing wrong that I can see.

i broke* the company DNS servers yesterday and for most of the day the url "forums.freddyshouse.com" pointed to a server called NS04.alpha.dsnk3.nixserv.com :eek6:

*broke as in BT switched off the two old radius servers we took DNS off, and forgot to tell us :eek: i spent most of the day working on 2k's horrendus DNS servers trying to make them work again the proper way
