Seriously, how the heck can GOA keep the servers running like this? Since ToA release we've had numerous server maintanence and supposedly improvement of the servers and they're still a pile of shit. Entering combat mode 20 seconds after pressing a style, being attacked by mobs you can't even see. How are we meant to play like this?
Surely we should get some kind of compensation. I'm sure none of us bought the ToA expansion to play it like this.

Game was hard to play since TOA I agree .. but the past few days it's become completely unplayable for me... I ld every 5 or 10 minutes!!... But only on Prydwen .. I can play on Excal for hours and hours but Pryd boots me every 5 minutes... funny part is my second account (on second pc) can be running smooth as a whistle at the exact same moment I ld.. or the other way around... I even see myself style right upto when I ld on my second screen... when on my main screen I'm looking at 2 red bubs and a frozen screen.

Tried reboots, reinstall, total viruscheck even another internet connection ... I am f00ked till they upgrade

- the lag is UNBEARBABLE!!!! (and i have tried it on both a P4 1.8, and a 3.0)
- f8 doesnt pick up nearest target anymore
- mobs lag in and out of sight, sometimes following you through dungeons for miles, nuking/DoTing through floors, ceilings, walls, etc.

Seems kinda odd to me also that i have just been and tried all my other toons, including the ones on the french servers from the luri invasion, and not one of them has shown me any problems whatsoever.

Hey, Mythic, if any of you guys are reading this, how about point out to GoA that half the known bloody world speaks English, including the USofA, a shed load of SA & Australia, but nooo, until the numbers are up on Prydwen and Excal, lets just keep driving away those numbers required by only offering love to the french and german players.

On that note, how about a mod in each of the startup guilds too, maybe? Seeing as i can rarely get a word in edgeways for all the FRENCH and GERMAN being spoken on them, then told im going to be reported for hasseling when i point out its an english speaking server!!

Yeah it's a conspiracy for sure . However I think Carnac server is the old Excalibur server (GOA added Carnac 1 week after Excalibur upgrade).
They would more likly turn it into the 6th german server since Dartmoor (the 5th german server) has got the same population as Prydwen.

GOA handle european servers not world servers. In Europe the first mother tongue is the german language. 2nd : french language, 3th : english language.

Oh and for your information, german language is not only the mother tongue in Germany but in Austria and Switzerland aswell. French language as mother tongue : France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium (southern part with Brussel), Quebec (Canada), North Africa.
So more likely "a love" to half of Western Europe players (German + french speaking countries) if I don't count players from Canada (Quebec has more or less the same population as one of the scandinavian country) and North Africa.


BTW I don't see the link between the lag on Prydwen and the fact that half of the world understand english language.

Its been a moan on these boards since the first sign of dirt that we are being short changed basically. We pay the same subs, we play the same game, yet we are not considered worthy of a hardware upgrade (unless this has happened in my time away). We had fears of Prydwen being closed altogether because of the low attendance numbers at one point, then along comes Carnacc, and that has less than even Camlann at peak times!! Prydwen appears to be considered the "second class" english speaking server, i fear, and therefore will always be the poor relation at the bottom of the stack (just above Camlann).

As i speak, there are barely 500 people on Carnac - GIVF ENGLISH SPEAKING CO-OP SERVER!!!!!!!

Trials of Atlantis & Stability

After upgrading the hardware of Brocéliande & Avalon (on-top of all the upgrades done in preparation of Trials of Atlantis), and having positive feedback about it, we proceed to upgrade more servers yesterday, including Ys, Excalibur & Lyonesse. The first reports are quite encouraging and the overall stability has been noticeably increased.

Based on this, we will now proceed to upgrade all remaining servers step by step in the coming weeks and of course keep on working hand in hand with Mythic to offer the best game experience possible.

Hopfully Pyr will get upgraded soon. Its interesting though, that all this seems to have started within the same week as the initial server upgrades.

Don't tell me there is a large population of americans on european server whereas they have got their own servers. Australians get a better ping on US servers than on EU servers (for any game).

There is a major difference between a language learnt at school and the mother tongue used in day-to-day life. I think it's not hard to understand even if you don't speak a foreign language. Moreover 12 year-old people in these countries don't speak good enough english to play a game in this language.

dutch speaking = flemmish , and you have the provinces vlaams-brabant (dutch) and waals-brabant (french) (used to be one province)

This thread is an example of something that has been noted on the US servers post ToA namely people are no longer as civil as they were (the co-op server boards, Gaheris, are a good place to look). The majority view arrived at was that people were increasingly frustrated with ToA - server crashes, bug fixes, encounters not working as intended, nerfs etc. Lots of little things resulting in the game becoming less friendly.

Started learning French in prep school, then chose to do Spanish in secondary school when given the choice between Spanish and German. Carried on doing french too during that time...
