I agree with Dreama, no one should be EXPECTED to go claim keeps for DF or any other purposes.

Fact is some people might like to go down DF if and when it opens, but there not so bothered about it to go actively keep raiding for its sake. So what? There doing what they enjoy and those who like rvr and sieges are out doing what they like. To be quite honest I too hate doing keep raids, 1 hour pounding on a door wearing down my expensive polearms and getting pbaoe'd to death is not my idea of rvr action and fun, but some enjoy it and good on em. Sometimes I take keeps, sometimes I don't, but im not about to be told what I SHOULD be doing or that I should not be allowed down DF just because I didn't drop whatever I was doing to go take bled, surs or dc for the tenth time on whatever night.

One of the things that really pisses me of about the game, is not the game itself, but the people who believe you are obligated simply because your in X,Y,Z realm or A,B,C guild to go and help do whatever task. Not just keep raids im talking about here but everything, people who believe just because your high level you should stop doing duels, rvr, whatever and go help them level there 2nd stealther alt just because your in the same guild and whatever your doing cannot be as important, or just because your with a few friends at ATK you HAVE to join XX group so they can be 'balanced' and last .02 seconds longer or indeed, that you should have to drop anything your doing and go take the same keeps for the hundreth time because someone is whining df is closed.

If you feel obligated to do something, thats fine, but don't put those obligations on other people, we all pay our £6 a month to play the game and we'll play it how we want to.

gota go back to the DF thing .. the whole arguement is about being bothered to do something .. am i wrong? when it comes to keep taking you only do it .. to either open DF or stop RR. those are my only reasons atleast!

If you want to take keeps or help someone lvl or whatever, fine by me, have fun! If you don't want to, fine by me, have fun! I've done soooo many keep takes to get DF open, and not even GO to df, don't much like the place. Sometimes I don't feel like going to take keeps for df.

My point is, don't expect ppl to go and do things if they don't want to.

And do NOT take the attitude that those who don't go with this time are selfish assholes, cuz you don't know the situation, maybe this is just 1 out of 50 times they didn't do it.

and even if they NEVER do, it's THIER choise, they don't bitch at you because you go take keeps instead of raiding a dungeon in SI or something.

To each his own, you can sit here and preach selfishness ect, but I'll just sit here and preach turn the other cheek, to each his own, and don't judge people ect.

I agree that people have the right to do whatever they want, but to childesly systematically claim it as an excuse to not help out isn't something I appreciate though. "You can't make me, I decide myself". Naturally you don't HAVE to do it because you're in the realm, but then again why shouldn't you like everyone else put a little effort towards everyone's (inside the realm) benefit? Can you come up with a good reason?

Yes, because not everyone's goals in the game are the same, and we all pay for our own subs. So if one day I simply don't FEEL like going out and geting DF for the realm, or helping to defend X keep or whatever, it's my right not to.
I don't force anyone else to go farm cash or kill X mob or whatever, people should whine and cry and try to force others into taking a keep or anything else.

im always ready to share other peoples rewards for them, but if they dont get it, no one will, so you just have to survive it ^_^

Dont think: i did this, and others get the reward without bothering to do it, think: i do this for the realm!

much better, dont help you anything, but at least you get less bothered about it

I agree you should do what you like ingame but i don't like the fact that

One minute your busy to help out your realm so that your realm gets DF.

Then the next minute your running into DF to farm diamond seals.

You're reaping off other peoples work and i don't like this system. If ANYONE says in /gu or /as "let's take a keep" then i'll stop hunting (unless the group desperately needs me) and go and help them to take it.

If "I" want DF i go and take it, i don't wait around telling other people that i'm busy and then run to DF when they open it.

One remark: If you join a guild you know the guild you are joining has certain "priorities". Some RvR more then others or concentrate on RvR only others might require you to roleplay. Some will probably won't care what you do and others might expect you to be on a certain amount of time a week. You should inquire about those things BEFORE you join the guild because at certain times it may require you to make sacrifices to help the guild out. If you want to do your own thing 100% of the time then either join a guild where you can do that or don't join one at all. Other then that each player pays for his own account so they are free to do what they like if what you like doesn't involve your guild though you might be at the wrong place. Think about it.

personally I can't stand the place. Never really did understand what the problem was. Sidi has better drops, avalon city has better exp, dales have better cash farm places /salvage etc, plenty of other palces to pwrlvl too. I still take the odd keep. Used to do it regularly. If I hear a keep take is about to start, I ask the group if they want to, if so then we help, if not then we don't. Simple really. Forced to go there unfortunately when DF is open cause everyone seems to forget going to DF, waiting half an hour for a group which splits up instantly, being very random in bafs etc and regular exp loss. Upto 45+ it aint worth it.

Dunno where I was going, just babbling. Do as you please, bear in mind the more you help the realm, the better inspired the realm becomes and it will pay off in the long run, just don't have a go at people who don't want to help you get access to DF, often it isn't on their agenda.
