Any suggestions? :)

Well i've played a friar, an armsman and a paladin so far in thidranki and imo Most fun:
Friar

Armsman

Paladin <----- supposed to be a sort of scale

Although Friar can get a bit annoying with rezzing. The 2 tank classes are a nightmare since most of the time there isn't much melee and mezzing is a bitch. Armsman makes up for it a bit with the odd tactical x-bow shot but since paladins can't even rez yet i found myself just standing around alot with nothing to do.

I would agree, I haven't got much experience with albion classes, but mine is nearly at thid (on prydwen) and I found the friar to be the most fun class in albion so far. From a mid perspective, you look like a caster (although because I have played one I can tell the difference more easily than most :) ) and I would imagine hitting the many stealthers that mistake you for one will be fun :)
If you want a caster (Although playing a theurg you may not want another) the wizards seem to have more range than most (the number of times I have been bolted trying to get in range of one :(). Casters seem to have it quite hard in thid though (1 shot kill by scouts through BT??)
The tank classes will find it hard most of the time (although atleast you can relax from all the damn stealthers :) )
If infils are anything like SBs then would be a lot of fun, trouble is there are so many of them ;)

I intend to level loc out of thid soon as I'm not having much fun with so many stealthers there.

btw, don't make a scout

One word: scout :D
When i was in bg i one shotted hibbies like they where con grey npc's. Mids are harder, but u can get them in 2-3 shots. I one shotted some blue casters tough :D But bg only lasted 3 days cause i was to damn good and hit the xp cap to fast :(

Infils r very good to, but u have to watch out for mezz.

If you want to help the realm albion.. a healer (cleric of friar)

if you want to solo -> infil or scout (but too many of them in BG already...and most dont even care about their teammates - casters- ), the times i killed enemy assasins when guarding a caster with my infil are soooooo high....they appear so easy to enemies :p

great fun of course both of them, but the times i'm present with my little arms its hard to find a healer around when i just charge in a couple of orange con mids :) (thinking the 10 other albs behind me wil do the same....but don't) :p

casters are nice too...but 1 good assasin or scout can ruin your BG trip over and over (the reason i deleted my firewiz)

but of course..all depends on your playing style

i had most fun with my
infil
cleric

arms

scout dunno yet, since he isn't BG ready yet, but i'm guessing he will be right at the top like my infil

I have put 6 characters through bg1 now, much more fun playing multiple characters than slogging with 1 to 50 for me. Most fun was a scout although im looking forward to playing my infil and mnstrel there. Casters are ok but with the weighting towards playing stealthers you have the life expectancy of a porpoise at a sushi party. Of all the tanks best i pld was a LW heroine and capped out in 3 days although the US bg seem to be a little busier as theyve had DF a long time. Any stealther on any realm would be a good bet or perhaps a pet class caster. I next plan to make a cab for BG

Pet caster!

My suggestion would be in midgard:

Spiritmaster, get pbaoe mez, lifedrain (damn good in rvr), dd, root, bladeturn, nice Dex/qui and str debuff ( not very often you use it tho). And ofcourse a pet.

Allthough my spiritmaster is only level 21 (on mid/pryd) and get ganked by infils all the time, I believe if when you reach level 24 you wont be such a easy target, since you might not go down so quick.

Great tactic for Spiritmaster again infils/nightshades.

Mr.Infil attacks you
You are hit for (90% of hp)

Quickcasting PBaoe mez

-Now you have one fine piece of life tank here, just walk away on distance, unless heavy poisoned, then you lifedrain him to regain hp, and damage him... now you can root him or mez him again hopefully. Get on distance again. If you have him rooted you can debuff him, just to be sure he wont harm you. And when at medium range, send pet and start nuking him with lifedrain spells (use lifedrain instead of DD, since there is almost no difference, and the lifedrain costs less power). And hopefully he will go down.... if he don't, he might be trying to run away and stealth....but he can't, since pet will find him anyway and destealth him.

I love that scenario, only happened to me a few times, but it sure has been fun.

Spiritmasters is nice against scouts/rangers too.... you have your bladeturn that often takes the crit shot from the bowman, and now he is unstealthed, send pet towards him, no way he is running away from that one, and he can't stealth either. The only thing he can do is to continue shooting at you. But your pet will get to him before he shoots 2'nd shot, and you wont die on first shot since he wont have time with crit...

-

But if you play albion, i'd go for Sorceror... my most hated enemy as a scout....they are damn hard to kill imo :). They got bladeturn, pet, AE mez... almost same as spiritmaster, but a little bit different.

Lol nice plan but it would go more like this

Hit 90% quick cast pbaoe mezz step back, pet breaks mezz infil/ns hits you you die. sadly you simply dont have time to switch pet to passive, and if you havent got a pet there why you even a sm not a rM :(

Most fun my SM had in thid was useing only the stun proc pet, and seting it after stealthers. It was so funny watching stealther run, stealth 2 secs latter reapear hit by pet while stealthed and running again.

Well, you can always have it set on passive while you are out traveling, and then you put it on defensive when you suspect the fight will start :)

I have a Sorc on Pryd, and they are pretty fun to play in Thid, aslong as you have backup, they are pretty much like the SM, pet, Lifedrain, DD, DoT, Root, Mezz, aoe mezz, Speed and BT.
aslong as those annoying Firewizzyz doesnt aoenuke, you can turn the tide and win the fight.

Oh yea... But, i think Sorcs are even better, since the speedbuff, and they get a normal AE mez with 46 duration at lvl 24.... that's kind of annoying :D

btw nightcrawl, you can't remezz an opponent in RvR within a minute, so that part of your tactic won't work. :p
