I don't think it's about him wanting to play guitar, but about the picture of a naked chick holding the guitar againsta her tits.

And yes it's a good guitar.

if you're considering buying any instrument without playing it first, you shouldn't be buying one :p

Which is why I don't buy my stuff online, unless it's an amp or something and I know what it's like.

Guitars? No. Retail only.

You can always send it back if you feel you've got a 'dud'. It all depends on how confident you are in the company's quality control. But definately play the model your looking to buy (or a couple)

From what ive seen from gibson std's its about 80% perfect , 10% are extra special (usually due to an excellent piece of wood) and 10% lower qual than I expect.

I owned and played a PRS (CE24 hardtail) for about 5 years and it was a fantastic guitar that could easily hold it's own against a good Les Paul. Any PRS you buy is going to be better than 95% of other guitars at the same price point (okay, the SE models are a little hit and miss although I like the Mark Tremonti Signature SE for the price).

That said, I would NEVER consider buying a guitar that I hadn't had the chance to sit and play...even when you look at a particular make and model, there can be pretty big difference between guitars. That said, if you know what you're doing, pretty much any guitar can be set up to play well and feel good with the right strings and some patience. What you pay a lot for is the quality of the electronics and the quality of the woods and finish.

In short, that is a very good guitar but I'd still rather buy one from a store where I can play it for a while before I buy, even if I end up paying more for it.

On a personal note, I'm not a big fan of the Zebra pickups or the Singlecut look...get me a nice natural finish Swamp Ash Special :D

EDIT: Sorry...just got the point of this post. Now both myself and the guitar are left feeling a right tit!
