true but there are very few situations where you cant avoid confrontation completely.

The only time its hard to walk away is if your by yourself and your worried for your safety in that they may have a weapon or may attack you as you are walking away.

[edit] unless they have already hit you/attacked you, in which case still try and avoid fighting.

yeh i train muay thai and boxing on the side aswell as starting judo and jiu jitsu soon and being interested in alot of different combat systems.

It really isnt worth fighting in the streets because there are no rules. If you get knocked out, no one has to stop beating you, if someones choking you, they dont have to stop choking you when you pass out, theres no tapping, theres no submitting and theres no rules, knives, sticks, soccer kicks, stomps, anything goes.

Further more, even someone thats trained is likely to hurt themselves, infact someone trained is more likely to hurt themselves - Tyson broke his hand in a street fight from smacking a guy.

Little tip - when punching bare knuckle you want to hit with your 2 big knuckles, index and middle finger. make a fist and only clench your 2 small knuckles in so your 2 big knuckles are kind of loose and dominant. This allows for a very powerful punch with minimising the damage your going to do to your own hand.
