I woke up in the middle of the night because of a sound, and noticed it came from my computers speakers. You know that sound they make when you crank up the volume way too much, but i thought they were just not functioning so i turned them off and went back to sleep.

Few hours later i wake up again (present time), eat breakfast/coffee and turn on the comp, switch on the sound just when i log into windows....... and the windows sound echoed throughout the apartment, nearly sh*t my pants.

What the hell :(

you need to get a pet tbh, things are scarey when you are just there by yourself.

If it makes you feel any better my bathroom is probably haunted now, I trod on a slug at 5am so there is now probably a small slug-ghost in there as we speak!

I think the slug accepted its fate tho rather than haunting your bathroom for eternity :D

Well as with all haunting, consistency is the key.

If it's a one time deal, let it go, most likely nothing, or at worse sci-fi scenario, passing nether :p

If it continues, well, video, night, post, here etc.

I'm personally open for a haunting happening, but it could very well be your speakers are on the last leg, you accidently had them on too high when turning them "off" etc, tired, mind playing tricks etc.

So, next night, speakers off, sleep, check in morning.

It was the first time that particular thing happened. Then there are some strange sounds sometimes but it could be anything.

One thing is really weird tho. There is a spot in the room i sleep where it often smells of sweat or body odor. I can't explain where the smell comes from but it just exists in the air, does not come from any object near the epicenter.

Speakers can be very weird things... Mine crackle occasionally when another strong electrical appliance is turned on in the house; it's not unfeasible to think it could have been your fridge having a freak power surge? Even if not, there are too many explainations for speaker anomylies.

Ever picked up the radio through your speakers before? That gave me a bit of a 'wtf' the first time I noticed it...lying in bed with the lights out.

Hell our doorbell used to get triggered by a number of things; my bedroom light, the fridge door, occasionally the kettle... the first time it happened just so happened to be at 4am when I turned my bedside light out so I went downstairs and checked the door...nothing. Went back upstairs, turned it off and there it went again. Cue the Benny Hill theme song.

I think you dreamed turning your speakers off, so they were on in the morning.

Put it down to poor electrics... there was a woman who believed that her gran haunted her house because everytime she sat her grans rocking chair the kettle used to boil.

They worked it out that the rocking char was on top of an old eletricity cable and when the chair rocked backward and forward it caused some of the old wires to conduct electricity better, thus turning the kettle on.

Ghosts are just bullshit really... there's no such thing... it's just what people want to believe because it's human nature to blame it on the unexplainable, aka supernatural powers, the same applies to god. I can't explain something so I'll blame it on god.

Have to agree with Doc, apart from the God bit. I don't believe in some bloke with a white beard, I do believe there is something that binds everything in the universe together though. Certainly isn't anything a human could comprehend though and maybe it is better that way.

I would not say i belive in ghosts, but i have seen things i cant explain.

My pc turning on by itself, stuff moving on its own accord, footsteps on the stairs my dads house (that one day just randomly stopped).

There is defo somthing we dont understand going on.

*EDIT* oh and the doors in my old work place would open and close on their own accord, you could sit and watch them on the CCTV, these were not small doors either, heavy fire doors. Also one of the managers reported seeing a "white lady" behind a boiler. Another mangers told me to come in for an early shift and sit on the 3rd (disused) floor and see what happend....i never did.
