OK secondly, um at the graaaand old age of 30 I can honestly say I'm not looking back and thinking "man I wish I'd done that" because I'm doing the one thing I wanted to actually get done and the thing I regretted not doing sooner (get me an ed-u-cation) and really enjoying it, also I think that it is better to do it now because I was a bubblehead when I was younger and had the attention span of a fruitfly so would have just screwed it up

I guess that would be where to start now, finding some direction and setting goals and actually doing them. The Yes Man (excellent film btw) idea is a good one, you are pretty much sure to get some interesting results from that.

Just freekin enjoy life is all I'd suggest really, I mean whether you get that enjoyment out of going out and partying or sitting at home having a cozy and reading a book its all good. Just so long as you don't wake up one day and think man i hate my life it sucks.

I mean is there anything that you can do when you are in your 20s that you absoloutely cannot do at 30? I can't think of anything personally...nope I can still do everything now that I could this time last week (including some rather impressive displays of physical flexibility).

5. Get some real dreams and ambitions because if you have already done everything you wanted at your age, you clearly have small plans. No one ever gets all that they dream of, if they tell you otherwise they are lying.

Well in my intial reply I gave him a list of things to do, I also stated that no one gets everything they dream of, because the reality of the situation is that once you get soemthing you have always wanted/worked towards yuor views shift and you target soemthing else.

Based on Toh's orignal post he has nothing else to live for, you are also forgetting that this is the guy that never changes his mind. Browsing FH for two months and not posting until someone ask where he is would suggest that his ambitions/dreams are relatively small if he has already adchived them already.

Actually didn't even visit FH for the time i was away.

The thread about me being on the front page when i did is simply due to someone, after a month or so, wondering about it and a month or so is relatively a good "pause" period.

You know nothing of my ambitions, dreams or how i think, so mind dropping the "you must" attitude from now on?

I don't change my mind on things if i don't feel like i should, like with getting married or infact, not having any ambitions.

To make it clear for you, if i heard i'll die tomorrow, i would have zero thoughts of "wish i had time to..." or "wish i had...".

So yes, i don't have anything to "live for", that doesn't mean i can't enjoy the time i'm here or that i don't do stuff. Fro example; i'm writing a book. It's not because i want to be a famous author, or because i wants the cash, or even because "i've always wanted to do it". I just do it 'cause i still have some extra time and there's nothing stopping me.

Thoughts, time needed, things they want and what means something are very different on each person.

I haven't. I haven't once judged any life decision made by him, or any other person for that matter. I've always referred to myself, or how i feel about aspects.

If i say "i don't see marriage as important", it doesn't mean that it's not important for others or that i think people should just split up.

I would disagree because I get things you never dream of getting. If in the future I get divorced I might see my experience as soemthing I could have done without, but I always base my decision on experience. I would not just discount something because I think I know best.

I could sit here and say oh if I died tomorrow then it would be okay, of course it would I have had a good life, I have experienced love, lust, heartache, success, loss, death of closde friends and family and witnessed the birth of life before my eyes.

But would I be content? no way would I, I want to experience my Daughter growing up, I want to see Transformers 2, I want to see England win the World Cup, I myself want to retire early and I have to be successful with my remaining eyars to make that happen.

There are people that want to achieve things and there are people that are happy with what they are thrown.

Dreams/ambitions there is only one thing that sperates these things from the people that achieve them and the people that don't.. Self belief.
